NO LOVE ALLOWED

Dear CERT family, As we enter into the thanksgiving season, please consider a dark reality to the contrary.
October 18, 2012

Imagine living on less than two dollars a day, Thanksgiving is just around the corner and your children are sick. A message of hope rings through your village, a team of doctors is coming to provide free health care. Your sigh of relief quickly turns to despair as community officials forbid their services because they are Christians.

Helpless and hopeless, the message you feel is . . . NO

LOVE ALLOWED!

THIS IS NOT IMAGINARY! This is the dark reality Paul was describing in his letter to the Ephesians. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Ephesian 6:12 In our July newsletter we posted an urgent prayer request from a team in Perus Andes Mountains, which is the crux of this letter. Please allow me to recount the story and describe answered prayers as more has been revealed. Our Peruvian partner, Inocencio, had scheduled nine days of free medical clinics. If you recall any of our stories about Inocencio, a former governor removed from office because of his Christian faith, is above all a servant to his people. One village, Rahuanki made it clear that no Christian team would be welcome NO LOVE ALLOWED so His people prayed. There was concern about what might happen Friday at Rahuanki. The good news came Thursday, when city officials said we could hold our clinics at the local school as long as there were no Christian activities. I cant help but smile as I ponder Jesus healing ministry, the Model CERT follows to spread the Gospel. The city officials had no idea that CHRIST WAS INVADING THEIR CAMP.

A family of new Christians live upstairs, photo right. Despite the fear of loosing their home they continue to hold church meetings downstairs. Above, your CERT medical team brought loving care & encouragement by joining in an evening service. Turn page for more on spiritual warfare in Rahuanki.

Be serious! Be alert! Your adversary the Devil is prowling around like a roaring lion, looking for anyone he can devour. 1 Peter 5:8
This is only part of the battle in Rahuanki. Six months ago, Inocencio had five families in Rahuanki accept Jesus as their Lord; and the lion goes on the prowl. Those families became the local church. After a while they rented a building in which to hold meetings. When this Christian church became local knowledge, village officials had the Christian renters removed. They are now holding meetings in one of the families homes, (photo on front page). Some of the residents, being led by city officials are fearful of Christians infiltrating their ancestral religion, steeped in ancient Inca animism. This battle has greatly intensified, now they are trying to have the Christians removed from their homes. Can you imagine having your home taken away because you are a Christian? This small group of baby Christians has no one to turn to but Inocencio. Fighting back the tears, Inocencio confessed this burden with the CERT team leader. Thus we pass this spiritual battle on to you faithful family of CERT and brother Inocencio knowing our prayers are the greatest weapon. It is written:

your Father Knows what you need before you ask him. Matthew 6:8
The evening after the clinic, the team participated in a church meeting with the small group of believers and others invited at the clinic. As the meeting proceeded, God was already there. The team bus driver; who before this night was just a hired bus driver, recognized the need for Quechua language, fetched his Quechua Bible from the bus and proceeded to preach the gospel in their ancestral language. Photo right ALL WERE AMAZED the bus driver was not a CERT team member, nor a partner of Inocencios but a messenger of the Lord, prepared for this moment. Inocencio, recognizing the anointing, translated in Spanish so all could hear.

An angel disguised as a bus driver, with Sword in hand slaying demons of the darkness in this eternal battle for lost souls

That small family of believers was so encouraged, they told the CERT team leader : even if they take away our homes we will not stop being Christians.
NEWSFLASH HOT EMAIL FROM PERU - 10/13/2012:
A CERT partner translated this update from Inocencio. One of the Christian families in Rahuanki had their land confiscated and the community plowed it up. Inocencio filed a complaint and the larger government warned the local officials about violating constitutional rights. They backed off for a bit, but now they have cut their water off. Inocencio is in the process of filing another complaint. Incocencio and the small groups of believers scattered throughout the Ancuahasi region are in desperate need of our prayers and support. There is not time to go into the many battles Inocencio and his wife Bertha have endured in Christ. He has recently received threats from Rahuanki that if he continues to return, they are going to wreck his car.

Its this type of constant political corruption and a leading from the Lord that now has Incoencio attending law school. A man of integrity, many of his people begged for his return as governor. But he told me he could not because of the depth and width of political corruption. Let us pray that Inocencio will continue to rise above it all and earn his law degree so he can be the voice for those without. Its hard for us to imagine this stark contrast, living in America. As we enter the Thanksgiving season let us be faithful to pray Pauls guidence for our Peruvian family to, Be joyful always, pray continually: give thanks in all circumstances, for this is Gods will for you in Christ Jesus. 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18

BATTLEFIELD UPDATE THE LATEST FRONTLINE NEWS - 10/16/2012:

Please forgive the order of events. We never design newsletters in this fashion, but then weve never had this much constant feedback from remote partners. Gods design! Inocencio sent another email yesterday please hear

his heart and cry for help for his people:

The situation of the five Christian families in the community of Rahuanki, is very delicate. Three of them have lost their land which is the only thing they have to provide for their families. It is very worrisome. I spoke with many lawyers and on Friday the 12th we wrote out a complaint with the Fiscal of the province. Lord willing we hope to see good results and the return of their lands. According to the Peruvian constitution there is freedom of religious practice, but in reality many times it is not respected, and the very authorities don't follow the law, and often go against it also in the educational system making children of Christians practice worldly things. Pastor, I ask that all of your Christian contacts and friends pray for these families and above all that I can finish as soon as possible my studies in Law to be able to defend such cases.

In Cusco I know various Christian lawyers but unfortunately even they haven't understood how necessary it is that they help the work in areas such as this, maybe they haven't had this experience like the brothers from Rahuanki are having, but I have lived it in my own flesh. Sincerely, Inocencio

INOCENCIO . . . PICTURED WITH HIS ARMS AROUND HIS HEART

Brothers and sisters let us shake the Andes Mountains by praying this scripture over Inocencio:

With this in mind, we constantly pray for you, that our God may count you worthy of his calling, and that by his power he may fulfill every good purpose of yours and every act prompted by your faith. 1 Thessalonians 1:11 Lets close with a story where: LOVE IS ALLOWED
We recently had a small medical team partner with Kids Around The World in Peru. Their purpose was to install a playground at the Christian school in Anchuasi and another in the jungle village of Boca Manu, while providing free health care. Both playgrounds were installed to support the ministries of CERT partners Inocencio and Pastor Tomas. Thanks to your prayers and financial support both of these ministries are thriving. In Anchuasi, with the recent additions of the Christian School, a community health post and now a large playground, it has become a community center. Dr. Lindakay Rees, pediatrician and CERT Board Chairman led the medical clinics, providing free health care to needy children.

O death, where is your victory? O death, where is your sting? 1 Cor. 15:55
Of the many stories wrought from this mission, Dr. Lindakay reported one in particular overflowing with His love. Lusmila Huaman is a bright, beautiful 21 year old Peruvian girl, pictured right. She made her way into the CERT clinic as best she could. Lusmila lost both of her legs at the knee and wears terrible ill-fitting prosthesis. They barely do anything to help her walk but its all she has. The love of Jesus could not be contained. Compassionate team members, assisted by national partners, have made arrangements for Lumsila to be fit with new prosthetics. Thanks to you her CERT family, the financial needs will be met. Helping improve Lusmils mobility is only half of the love story. Three of the ladies on the team banded together to help finance sending Lumsila to a special computer school in Perus capital, Lima. For the next three years, Lusmila will live with relatives in Lima and have her $90/month tuition paid

TRULY LOVE IS ALLOWED !

The battles rage on we fight darkness governed by the prince of this world. But, Thanks be to God for his indescribable gift, JESUS CHRIST assures victory for those who believe. And we at CERT thank God for you, our family! Your prayers lift up and encourage CERT partners around the world. Your financial gifts provide healing for the suffering and needy. And most importantly, through your prayers and support ... many come to KNOW JESUS.

This is a prayer letter . . . THE GREATEST WORK. We need your continued financial support and trust our prayers will provide the resources.
A new year is just around the corner and we have three medical missions scheduled in the first two months. We have some team members committed, but not enough. In a similar situation, He told them, The harvest is plentiful,

but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field. Luke 10:2. Let us ask the Lord of the harvest for these critical needs:
Mexico 12/29 - 1/5, 2013 doctors and a dentist Kenya 1/11 - 1/28, 2013 pediatrician, dentists, and a couple PAs would be great Manu Park, Peru 2/22 - 3/9, 2013 a dentist and nurses 2013 Trip calendar enclosed for more workers / prayer and recruiting purposes :o)

There are no words to express our thanks for you. Without you there is no CERT, and therefore no Going. Thank you Lord for our CERT family who, with YOU make CERT Your witnesses unto the ends of the earth. AMEN 4Him,

Bru
