On Wednesday, theseprecious little people traveledaround to each Orange Pod
teacher’s classroom and
completed different activitiesrelated to fall. They completedcandy corn graphs, played bingo, made a glyph,listened to Halloween stories, and my favori
decorated and ate their own jack-o-lantern cookie!
A very special thanks to Mason’s mom, Michelle for
sending each of us a pumpkin to paint. We had somuch fun doing this! I hope each of you enjoyed
seeing your “little pumpkin’s” pumpkin.

Our annual Scholastic Book Fair will begin Monday, Nov. 5and will end Fri., Nov. 9
. So,please make sure to visit thebook fair with your child before itis over. Yes, students areallowed to bring money to school and purchasebooks with the assistance of an adult at school.However, for our kindergarten children, it might bebest if a parent accompanied them when makingdecisions on what to purchase.Our clas

Thursday, the 8th. You are welcome to come havelunch with your child that day, and then head ondown to the book fair. We eat lunch at 10:35. Hopeto see you soon!

Riverboat Field Trip
Orange Pod classes will betaking a field trip toMontgomery on Tuesday,November 13 to enjoy ariverboat cruise on the HarriottII. This will be a very informative field trip, and weare super excited to board a real boat before our pretend cruise to Italy. Because the children will betaking an actual boat ride, please begin to remindyour child at home to listen and follow directions atALL times while we are on this trip. I am remindingthem at school, and I appreciate your encouragement of good behavior, as well.
In your child’s backpack, you will find his/her
October journal. Please take a quiet moment thisweekend to allow your child to share this with you.They are extremely proud of their hard work, and soam I. Also, please know that I was out of the roomseveral days this month because of K-Checklistassessments and Professional Development meetings,so there may be some journal entries that your childwould have completed with a substitute teacher.
