o donation is too small to get ready for Christmas
CONGRATULATIONS: To Lily Brown, winner of the Altar Server draw for October.
I’d go to church but…..Excuse #1:
I’m too busy.
Answer:
We’re all busy. But we have time for what is really important to us.How we use our time indicates what our priorities really are. Rather than “I’mtoo busy” a more honest answer would be “the Gospel really isn’t veryimportant to me
"
.
Excuse #2:
…you don’t have to go to church to be a Christian.
Answer:
According to the Bible you do. Christianity is not just a personalmoral code, but a new life lived in community. St. Paul who wrote more ‘books’ in the Bible than anyone else, says “that the Church is the body of Christ and individual Christians are parts of that body
"
. An individual can nomore be Christian without the Church than a finger can live without the body. The church is a team. Just as it is really difficult to play hockey by yourself, it’sreally hard to be a Christian alone.
Excuse #3:
...the church is full of hypocrites.
Answer:
Come anyway, there is always room for one more. What can bemore hypocritical than passing judgement on others and their motivesand setting oneself up as better.
