Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that He might promote you at the proper time.

Who is Joseph?
Son of Jacob and Rachel He had 11 brothers .

Jacob loves him more than his brothers.

Provoke jealousy and resentment among his brothers

Josephs dream
1st dream 11 grains bowed down to the 12th grain

2nd dream Sun, moon and 11 stars bowed down to him

The brothers threw him in the pit He was sold to slavery under Potipher. He was imprisoned in Egypt.

Joseph interpreted the Pharaohs dream and it came true.

Joseph became a governor of Egypt.

Principles of Humility:
Jacob already taught Joseph with the Word of God during his childhood years until his teen years. Principle 1:

A parent must teach his or her child in the ways of God.


Proverbs 22:6 Train up a child in the way he should go, Even when he is old he will not depart from it.

Principles of Humility:
Joseph shows love and respect to his parents through obedience to their authority as parents. Principle 2:

A child must obey his/her parents.


Ephesians 6:1-3 1 - Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right. 2- HONOR YOUR FATHER AND MOTHER, which is the first commandment with a promise, 3 So that it may be well with you and that you may live long on earth.

Principles of Humility:
In the end, Joseph became an instrument of God to fulfill Gods plan. Principle 3:

We are not promoted until God promotes us.

HUMILITY
OUR TOTAL DEPENDENCE TO GOD.
