WOMEN OF COLOR LEADERSHIP PROJECT
he WoCLP is designed to increase the number of women of color students and faculty within the field of women’s studies and to havean impact on the levels of participation and power by women of color in program administration and development, NWSA, and in the fieldof women’s studies as a whole.Valuable networking and professional development opportunities withinthe Women of Color Caucus (WoCC), the Program Administration andDevelopment (PAD) Committee, and other NWSA groupsThe support, companionship, and advocacy of the NWSA WoCCOpportunities to engage with established and aspiring women of color committed to leadership in women’s studies and NWSAOpportunities to serve as a conduit for other women of color, particularly young women, and promote their involvement in women’s studiesOne-year complimentary membership in NWSA for first-time WoCLP participantsComplimentary registration for the NWSA general conference and thePAD pre-conference for first-time WoCLP participants Women of color in women’s studies, ethnic studies, or related fields may applyif they aspire to leadership within women’s studies or NWSA.Applicants may include graduate students, faculty, and current program administratorswho wish to be more involved in program or Association leadership.The NWSA 28th annual conference will be held inSt. Charles, Illinois from June 28-July 1, 2007.For additional details contact Nana Osei-Kofi, WoCLP Coordinator, at woclpinfo@nwsa.org.
