Walking Tour

Before you begin your 1.1 mile walking tour, we would like to thank you for visiting our district. It is our wish that you will gain a greater appreciation for historic homes and realize the importance of preserving them. As you stroll through the neighborhood today, take notice of the unique architectural styles. During the early part of the 20th century, architects incorporated a range of architectural elements in residential homes. As a result, it is hard to pin down a definitive style. In our descriptions, we have tried to identify and place the houses you see in their historic and architectural context. Enjoy your visit to Joplins Murphysburg Residential Historic District.
