How are we to act when our moment arrives How are we to proceed along those elemental tracks Will we ever be ready to make that
defining leap
We can only live in the purring moment and that is all Seeking love in its warming currents To make the journey on from here more tolerable
Love can burn through a wall of fear Can shake the Earth to its iron core Can keep us going in those gurning depths
When all around have drowned and perished Smothered by the hands of ghosts
Life is hard but we must bear its weight as best we can A simple truth, like the sound of water dripping in a cave The heart's a compass, so mark its wisdom in golden arrows
We pull on threads and poke our hands into the wafting veils We gasp for air
When all the time, we should just be plunging deeper into it Going further into its fadeless essence
Do we hide away in the shattered rocks or charge full on into life's throbbing mills Should we always live in a state of constant fear Surviving only on our lowest instincts
There's just this overwhelming urge to remain alive We dart and flip through all of fortune's gentle shallows
We thrash around in tumultuous and frenzied pools And the pace of life seems far beyond our wildest comprehension
Does a circle ever cease its tireless journey Can the leaf ever elude the sything breeze
The vortex turns and we are propelled deeper into its endless circuits Like grains of salt dissolving in the waves of time
These spectral dreams have held us spellbound for far too long We must find a way to awaken
To wriggle free of their remorseless nets To wear the crown of lumined independence As we turn to make our way back home
The wonder is in the distance travelled and never its glistening outcome
