Information for Wholesale Customers of SunTrust Mortgage, Inc. January 14, 2008 BRO 08-004 IMPORTANT REMINDERS REGARDING THE AGENCY SHORTCUT MORTGAGE LOAN PROGRAM As previously published in Wholesale Bulletin BRO 07-205, ALL Agency Shortcut loans that were locked PRIOR to December 20, 2007 must have their FINAL submission to DU no later than January 15, 2008. Modifications will be made to the Custom DU Scorecard at that time. AFTER January 15, 2008, all Agency DU loans evaluated for Shortcut eligibility will be subject to the CDU Scorecard modifications. No exceptions will be made to this policy. As a reminder, the Agency Shortcut Mortgage MUST be originated as a Full Doc loan; however, based on an evaluation of the borrowers credit characteristics by SunTrusts Custom Desktop Underwriter (CDU), the borrower may be REWARDED with the ability to eliminate the verification of their income and assets. As with the standard DU engine, CDU determines Shortcut eligibility based on a layering of risk criteria. All loans must be submitted through DU and receive a CDU Eligible recommendation PRIOR to registering and/or locking as a Shortcut Mortgage with SunTrust.
