A.A.S.

IN CHILD DEVELOPMENT
PROGRAM INFORMATION: The Child Development Program is designed to help prepare students to make a positive difference in the growing field of childcare. This program helps prepare successful graduates with the ability to understand the needs of young children including children with special needs and the ability to develop appropriate learning environments for them. Criteria for quality early childhood programs developed by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) have been incorporated into course content. The Associate of Applied Science Degree and a Certificate of Completion are offered. TECH PREP: Articulated credit may be available for some courses students completed while in high school.
