Underdog Endorsements& voting nite coverage by local advocates channel 76 6pm - go vote!
Hi Folks,Time to weigh in on our election! These are my personal endorsements and reflections. I want to start in thedistrict I live in, which is District 5 where the most heated and disturbing battle is going down. This is a battle full of smoke and mirrors. A battle which helped me define myself as a compassionate radical and toss the word''progressive'' to the machine.

I am endorsing a full slate for the rank choice and giving my cents two cents on each District race:

JULIAN DAVIS - is my top choice, and th
e only campaign I’ve given my blood, sweat, and tears to. I first
met Julian as a legislative aide to Senator Leno. I'm not a cannabis industry rep- I'm a patient advocate talking to my
government about poor people’s rights for equitable safe access to med
ical cannabis. This is a hard message for  politicians and it doesn't come with a campaign donation, hence I get shown the door or just nodded at.

Julian brought me to the table as an equal, he listened, he went and spoke with our disabled advocates, andwent and spoke to their providers. Him and Senator Leno understood that a price hike on our state medical cannabiscards would limit access and protection to a particular caste of patient. Poor patients are stopped by police at a muchhigher rate than middle
class patients… to say the least. This adventure into equitable rights to medical cannabis is
the reason why Axis of Love SF unanimously endorsed him and awarded him our "people and policy'' award in2006.

It was Senator Leno’s response to the scandal, wh
ich was trying to discourage good people from supportingJulian, which confirmed in factual manner what I suspected. As an outsider to the hipster circle of politicaloperatives in our city I could see that Julian was being targeted unfairly. The first cease and desist letter went toAmiee Ellis - a known Politico- for screaming in a crowed room during a meet and greet for a neighborhood group, for which she had endorsement power/vote, that Julian had been fired by Leno for sexual harassment of women.Senator Leno sent a letter to the neighborhood group that this claim was false, untrue, inaccurate, and simply notreal. The second cease and desist went out to yet another politico hipster
 –
Kay, who is "chair of endorsements'' for a powerful political organiz
ation. Many in “the machine” used the cease and desist letter as a reason to remove their
endorsements at an opportunistic time.It was as real as Julian being a pawn for big oil - Yes all of this is crapola! smoke n mirrors to confuse and rob you of your vote! What I saw next from Julian impressed me the most - He stood his ground, he knew he was in a struggle for the truth and did not allow this slander and defamation of character. - and I encourage all true neighborhoodadvocates to file complaint or, contact ethics commissions, and go public anytime these clowns try and chase true
progressive leaders out of town. What’s important to me and my neighbors are the issues at hand
- here's a simplevisual aid that illustrates key differences.

My second choice is Hope Johnson and the people’s choice ticket
