All serial numbers are recorded utilizing a barcode scanner to ensure the numbers areaccurately entered.
The logic boards are removed from the drivesbefore the shredding process begins. This lowersthe cost of shredding and is more efficient as theboard materials are recycled in anenvironmentally responsible manner.
Prior to shredding, all devices are counted andcompared to the spreadsheet to ensure they havebeen properly recorded, thus eliminating doublescans or miss scans.
We will print a physical copy of the serial numbersand also provide a digital copy on a CD in .xlsxformat.
The shredding process will begin at a rate ofapproximately 900 drives per hour after all of thedevices have been serialized, verified, and thespreadsheet and certificates have been printed.
A certificate of destruction and a bill of lading isgenerated for your records at the end of theshredding process. They are signed by the shredspecialist and provide proof of data destructionfor regulatory compliance.
