Rainbow Lab Conclusion It was possible to create this layered solution because the salt concentration was different

with each colour. This also affected the density of each colour in that the most dense colour was at the bottom and the least dense colour was at the top of the end result. The group worked together and helped out each other to complete the rainbow lab. The experiment was done three times to get the desirable rainbow. The qualitative results was shown in the diagram and the quantitative results was shown in the data table. The hypothesis was if five jars of salt water are mixed, then the jar with the most salt will be on the bottom, because the salt water is more dense than the fresh water. The hypothesis was entirely correct. The blue was at the bottom because it had the most amount of salt and the red was at the top because it had the least amount of salt. The density of each colour was as follows: blue =1.17 g/ml; green =1.14 g/ml; yellow =1.11 g/ml; orange =1.06 g/ml; red =1 g/ml.
