My last remark in this matter is>why? After all these years does anyone want to destroy part of Riverside's History and Heritage? It' on a hill, doesn't bother anyone and is there representing World Peace and the Unity of Riversides citizens progress.Thousands of people gather there one day a year to represent Easter. It is remembered and talked about all over the world. Please leave it be.

Mt. Rubidoux with it's cross and flagpole IS A HISTORICAL SITE AND LANDMARK!!I It needs to continue to be cared for by Riverside for another 100 years and longer as opposed to selling it or even taking the cross down. The "Serra Cross" was erected in honor of Fray Junipero Serra, the Founder of Mission. Our first Easter sunday service dates back to 1909 and in 1925 over 20,000 people were present .

President Taft personally was present in 1925 at Mt. Rubidoux to present another plaque to the Founder of The Mission which is also part of the history of Mt. Rubidoux. The land goes back to whoever's still living that is related to Frank Miller Inc. who donated it to begin with. not sell it. That was the original agreement when Frank Miller gave Mt. Rubidoux to the citizens of Riverside in 1955.

I take it another "Antichrist"/"Athiest" wants to desecrate/destroy our heritage just because there's a cross on top of Mt. Rubidoux? Move out of Riverside if it bothers you so much and take your followers with you!!! Crosses don't always represent religion and you, whoever you are>have taken it personally and are trying to destroy over 100 years of Riverside's heritage and history.to ber cont..

The cross on top of Mt. Rubidoux originally represented: "Citizens of Riverside,CA. inited/standing together to protect and care for the progress of our city's heritage/history".and the flagpole was placed by the cross to represent "World Peace". Easter Sunrise Services were and still are meant for families and individuals to come together and share a day of unity.Read the history of Mt Rubidoux!!
