In 1884 he went to America There he worked for Thomas Edison Tesla supposedly had OCD (Obsessive compulsive disorder) Tesla spoke many languages including English, French, Italian and Czech

Tesla's Impact
I think that Tesla made a huge impact on society. The reason I think that is because some of the everyday things like a remote control were invented by him. Also alternating current was invented by him which today is used in lightbulbs.

Some Of Tesla's Inventions

Tesla invented:
1. Remote Control 2. Tesla Coil He invented many more things but these are the two I am going to explain.

Remote Control
Everyone knows what a remote control is but does everyone know how it works?

It is like Morse Code. For every button on the remote you press there is a different light "pattern". The light is so low that is is not visible to the human eye. The light is then captured by a sensitive part of the TV. The pattern is repeated five times a second to ensure the TV gets what pattern it is.

Tesla Coil
A tesla coil produces large amounts of electricity. It is sort of like a one of those electric balls that make you hair stand on end. Electrons run up the coil and produce electricity.
