New to this year’s event are two technology-related strands in which gamers and edtech startups have been invited to participate. BrainPOP is sponsoring a section ongaming and game design; Cisco’s GETideas.org, in cooperation with EdSurge, issponsoring Innovation Perspectives, a strand focused on global technology-driveneducation innovations. Both promise to highlight projects that leverage technology topromote global collaboration and understanding.

The conference will reprise itsvirtual film exhibition and feature thework of Emmanuel Vaughan-Lee and hisGlobal Oneness Project.These educational events are free of charge to all participants and will beheld completely online in BlackboardCollaborate virtual rooms.
