anooga.The Hawkeyes wrestle three consecu
ve duals beginning at 2:30 p.m. (CT) vs. Cum-berland (Tenn.). Iowa faces No. 20 Virginia at 4 p.m. (CT) before facing host Tennessee-Cha
anooga at 6 p.m. All three duals will be contested inside Maclellan Gym.
FIRST ONE IS A BIG ONE
The Hawkeyes have won their
rst dual meet of the year in 55 consecu
ve season. Since1910-11, Iowa owns an 87-11-4 record in the
rst dual of the season. The Hawkeyeshaven’t lost their
rst dual of the season since dropping a 14-12 decision to Oklahoma in1956-57.
AN UNCOMMON DUAL OCCURANCE
The 2012-13 season is only the second
me during the Tom Brands era the Hawkeyeshave opened the season with a dual meet. Since 2006, the Hawkeyes have opened theseason at an open tournament
