Salvation Army - November 22, 2012


Thanksgiving Dinner at the Salvation Army is free and open to everyone from 11am - 2pm. Please call to reserve a number of Thanksgiving dinners for you and your family. For homebound individuals a referral is required from a Health or Human Services provider to arrange for a Thanksgiving meal to be delivered to a homebound person.

Holiday Tree Program
Gift of A Green Christmas - Larimer County

November 1, 2012

Provides real Christmas trees and accessories to low income families and individuals in Larimer County. Artificial trees are limited to people with allergies. Registration is open now through November 15th. The distribution dates will be December 1st and 8th. Donations and volunteers welcome and needed for this program. Adopt A Family - Timberline Church Network
Timberline Church offers the Adopt a Family Program for families in need during the Holiday season. Registration is open now through December 5, 2012. Families need a referral from a non profit agency, a school, church or human services. Phone 970-482-4387 ext 515.

Angels Among Us Christmas Assistance Program - Salvation Army Fort Collins


The Salvation Army will continue registering families for Christmas gifts, food and turkeys all through the month of November. Registrations are on Mondays and Wednesdays only, 10am - 12pm. No appointment necessary. You Must Bring: Proof of Address in Fort Collins, Laporte or Wellington (Public Service Bill or a Current Rent Receipt), Proof of Family Income, Original Social Security Cards or Birth Certificates for children, Most recent school record or report card or immunization records for all children (or any proof that children are actually living with their parents) Any type of Picture ID for adults, and a wish list. (Please write down your kids' clothes sizes or specific toys they would like, no more than $50 per child)

Santa Cops - Fort Collins Police Services


Each year uniformed officers deliver gifts to applicants. You must be a resident of Larimer County to apply for the program. Apply in person at 2221 S. Timberline Rd Fort Collins on Saturday November 10, 2012 8:30am - 4:30pm, Saturday November 17, 2012 8:30am - 4:30pm, Tuesday November 6, 2012 10:00am - 3:00pm , Tuesday November 13, 2012 10:00am - 3:00pm. Bring Photo ID (parent), Birth certificates for each child, Proof of address (utility bill), and Gift Ideas for each child (less than $20). Information provided will not be used for any other purpose other than the Holiday program. If an applicant does not speak English, they are asked to bring along someone who can translate for them. Toys for Kids - Northside Aztlan Community Center


Program Includes Toys and Events for children and youth. Registration opens November 1, 2012, M-F 6:00am - 9:00pm; Sat 8:00am - 5pm; Sun 12pm - 5:00pm. Parents or guardians must register before the event, apply in person at 112 Willow Street Fort Collins. Bring proof of age and attendance at PSD Schools (i.e. current report cards, school registration). Call 970-221-6655.

Secret Santas for the Elderly - Larimer County


Secret Santa's for the Elderly provides a short visit and a holiday gift for the forgotten elderly living in nursing homes or assisted living facilities. Volunteers are needed for short visits, gift purchasing, and ongoing companionship for the elderly. Refer an isolated elderly to the program or register through nursing and assisted living homes. Adopt a Family Christmas Program - House of Neighborly Service

November 1, 2012

House of Neighborly Service offers the Adopt a Family Program for families in need during the Holiday season. Registration is open from November 5th December 20th, 2012, M - Th 9:00am - 11:30am and 1:30pm - 3:30pm Clients must live in the Thompson R2J school district and bring proof of address dated within the last 30 days, 1 month most recent income proof, SS card or birth certificate for each person in the house, and photo ID. This is an income and residency based program. Holiday food provided by community donors or House of Neighborly. The House of Neighborly Service is located at 565 N. Cleveland Ave. Loveland. Crossroads Ministry 851 Dry Gulch Road, Estes Park will be giving out forms for this year's annual Bright Christmas event. This event will assist families purchasing gifts for the holidays. It focuses mainly on the distribution of clothing and toys to families with children. Walk-in, appointment needed. Bring Proof of address in Estes Park area and proof of income. Seasonal program is for low-income elderly and/or shut-ins who do not have family to spend Christmas with, and who are unable to get out and enjoy the season.
