Rick YoungThe economy is looking mean. So we got to go green.“Power to the People”Tina PellegrinoI am a deeply passionate 12 yr advocate for Downtown Los Angeles. As the Chief of Staff at American Apparel, our growth has paralleled the city’s growth. We startedsmall here and now occupy more than 1M sq feet in downtown and employ morethan 5,000 people. It’s been wonderful to be part of the revitalization of this greatneighborhood. My experience in DTLA was not in some fancy corporate office tower, but at 7th and Alameda, at the intersection of the Warehouse District, Little Tokyo, Arts District andSkid Row. Working here has taught me how to get things done, be compassionate, produce a great product, make a difference, work hard and stay organized. Together,we’ve fought for public transportation, immigration, and environmental causes.I’d like to apply these skills even more. Please consider me for DLANC. I would behonored to be of service to this city.
