Pilot Fleet is a completely autonomous networkevaluation system that operates around-the-clock collecting, processing and analyzing datafrom unattended Remote Control Units (RCUs),which may operate in any location, static ormoving, wherever there is access to a 12Vpower supply. Each RCU is capable of testingmultiple network technologies simultaneously, with data transmitted immediately through anindependent Wi-Fi antenna to a central server.Competing solutions, which test fewer networksusing flimsy commercial handsets as testmodule substitutes, must cease testing duringdata transmission.
Collected data is stored both locally in the RCU and uploaded to a central database for immediate and futureprocessing. A subset of vital performance parameters is transferred in real time, enabling immediate visualization ofsystem status. This also allows a Fleet user to remotely monitor any RCU's datastream through a web client.Post-processing results, such as engineering information, statistics or KPIs, can be manually and/or automaticallye-mailed to any desired address. If results reveal something unexpected, there is no need for further measurement;data on-hand can simply be re-analyzed more thoroughly. Fleet is meant to measure once and process manytimes; all data is stored and retained; it's always available for subsequent processing. There are no unexpectedcosts incurred from unscheduled drive tests.Fleet is a rugged IPC-based device, not a laptop solution. Your engineer need not struggle to type in instructions
or worry about this device ying off of his lap on a bumpy road. In fact, your engineer need not be in the car at all.
Fleet's architecture is web-based; operators can be located anywhere in the world. They need only log in to the IP-based client, making for a cost-effective use of human resources.
