This poem was originally written as a song but I changed it around a bit so it sounds more like a poem. It's about what you see on the outside and what's really on the inside. I came up with it while on camp when I was 14 years old and got to write it as soon as I came home. This is one of my favourite poems I've written so far.

Where we walk and are reminded of the past as rivers become oceans yet leave us still clinging to the sharp bedrock of memories dance. fear is all that is between life and love and it's what keeps us from touching what I would call becoming one.
Beneath your poetry is an ocean of wisdom, it seems. I am unable to send you a message [your security letters are missing] so I invite you to read about the book The Milk Is White, which is now on Scribd, and if you feel that it is time you learned, or learn more, about what life is all about please download and read it. It is free. This invitation is not because I wrote these but because they exist. Downloading can be done from this web site [http://www.scribd.com/Ian%20Gardner] or from http://www.themilkiswhite.com where both Microsoft Word and PDF are available. Ian.
I really liked your poem! I think you should make it a song! I'm sure I'd love it...
