The Aimpoint 3XMag Magnifying Modle can be sed inconjnction with most Aimpoint sights for long-range aiming,alternatively whenever the sitation needs closer or moredetailed aiming capability. The 3XMag can also be sed as ahand-held 3X observation device.The 3XMag has no reticle itself bt ses the red dot in theAimpoint sight as the aiming reticle, ths eliminating the
need for re-zeroing when shifting from non-magnied tomagnied aiming and vice versa.
The 3XMag is rbber covered for increased protection fromshock as well as an ergonomic grip when sed as a mon-oclar. For qick attachment and release, we recommendthe se of the Aimpoint TwistMont.

The 3XMag is provided with a 30 mm diameter tbe (for monting) and with 4 screw holes in the bottom srface for other monting alternatives.
3. OPERATION uNDER NORMAL uSE
Ensre that the weapon is nloaded, the safetyselector is in the “safe” position, and the weapon is pointedin a safe direction before attempting to install, remove or per-form maintenance on the 3XMag – other than attaching anddetaching it nder normal se.
3.1 PREPARATION FOR uSE
The 3XMag can be monted on the rail of the weapon inthree different ways:
by means of a ring attached to the front 30 mmdiameter tbe, for example the Aimpoint TwistMont(see pictre nder chapter 3.2)
- OPTION 1:
se the rear 30 mm diameter tbe in conjnc-tion with the front tbe
- OPTION 2:
se the for M3 screw holes on the bottomsrface for cstom monting hardwareIn order to se the 30 mm diameter tbe(s), the rbber
covering that surface must rst be removed. Remove rubber from the front tube as shown in g. 2 below when Twist
-Mont or one ring is sed (most common). Remove rbber
from both tubes as shown in g. 3 when both tubes are
sed. use a sharp knife and careflly ct throgh the rbber along the circmferential groove making sre not to ct intothe metal body.If the lower for screw holes are sed for monting,the rbber doesn’t need to be removed.
