For todays lesson, we are going to learn about major festivities in MexicoCity.
I will explain to the class what’s our major focus for today.
 
How to define culture and values?
 
What is the Day of the Death?
 
What is Lady of Guadalupe’s feast day?
 
Time:
15 minutes
Direct Instruction:Define Culture, Values, Day of the Death, and Lady of Guadalupe's feastday.I will ask each student what culture means to him or her, and how theythink culture is important in Mexico City. I would use the smart board towrite down major ideas given by each student, and they will be able to usethose for their group activity.Time:30 minutes
 
Guided Practice:During this time there will be a small video showing the major festivitiescelebrated in Mexico City. It will show the importance of Day of the deathand Lady of Guadalupe's feast day. It will give details of what people inMexico do to celebrate those days, and why is very important for them tocelebrate it.Time:20 minutes
 
Independent Practice:Here students will get into groups of 3 or 4 and they will give them a set of 
questions regarding the movie. If they don’t finish during class they can
