, Communications Director, bothof LamorindaWeb, a community-oriented web site.Tiraporn was born in Bangkok, and has a BBA degreefrom Golden Gate University and course certificatesfrom several other universities. Tiraporn is also thefounder and CEO of HappyPixel Studio, a local websitedesign firm that has created successful websites for companies and public entities in the area, such as theTown of Moraga, Moraga
Orinda Fire District, andothers.
has been operating for almosttwo years. They post 5 to 7 new articles about the local
area each week, and can list each organization’s major 
events. The focus is on people interested in what isgoing on in the area, and want to become involved. LWsends out a weekly newsletter for which individuals andgroups may sign up to receive. They can acceptarticles from organizations, and can accept dates for their Event Listing (closes Tuesday morning eachweek). They are also tied in to Facebook and Twitter feeds. LW distinguishes itself from competitors bybeing locally owned and operated.LW has featured Moraga Rotary by posting Employeeof the Month photos and information, and bybackground interviews of a Club member about Rotarylast year.LW is also sponsoring a Home Show event to be heldin January at the Lafayette Veterans Hall.

thanked and honored Tiraporn and Hollyby sending a $25 microcredit donation in their names toa woman in Peru to expand her 5 year old grocerybusiness.

stepped up to the mike to give aninvocation describing the honor that we owe to militaryand naval service veterans, and led the Pledge of  Allegiance to begin the meeting.

Linda Campbell’s
quilters’ guild has
donated 35 quilts and afghans
 which the Club will package and ship to the RotaryDistrict Governors group that will direct the shipment tothose people most in need of them. These DGs reportutter devastation in many areas, with little or nogovernment help. At the Board meeting next week, heanticipates a donation from the Club for Sandy disaster relief. Timing of a quilt packing party will beannounced.

announced last call to get tickets to Rotaryappreciation day at Golden Gate Fields this Saturday,and reminded the attendees of their dress code (toocomplex to repeat here). Especially, no togas! Specialdeal alert!

excellent e-waste service/fundraising event
that took in totalweight of almost 3500 pounds of electronic waste andpaper to be shredded, and our third highest grossreceipts since we started. In the seven semiannualcollection events beginning in Sept 2009, MoragaRotary has collected and properly disposed of morethan
16 tons
of waste. (Sound like we may have a newtheme song
You load 16 tons of . . . .” 
After deducting the cost of donuts, coffee, and other eats, theClub will still have a handsome profit.
