Rapidshare traces the users IP address to limit each user to a certain amount of downloading per day. Toget around this, you need to show the rapidshare server a different IP address.Here are some methods for doing this:

1. Short-Out the JavaScript:

to the pop-up box6. Enter the captcha7. Download Your File

2. Request a new IP address from your ISP server.

Here's how to do it in windows:1. Click

Erase your cookies

in whatever browser you are using.6. Try the rapidshare download again.Frequently you will be assigned a new IP address when this happens. Sometime you will,sometimes you will not. If you are on a fixed IP address, this method will not work. To behonest, I do not know how to do this in linux/unix/etc. If this works for you, you may want tosave the above commands into a batch file, and just run it when you need it.

3. Use a proxy with SwitchProxy and Firefox:

1.Download and install Firefoxif you have not already2.Download and install SwitchProxy3.Google for free proxies4. When you hit your download limit, clean your cookies and change your proxy

4. Use an anonymous service:

Running your system through thetor network should in theory work; however, it is difficult touse and setup. Plus, you allow others to run their evil deeds through your system as well byusing this system.Anonymizer 2005is inexpensive, easy to use, but not free. Other pay serviceswould likely work as well.

5. You can use a bookmarklet to stop your wait times:

How to bypass web filters

There are several occasions where you will be at a public terminal, and require access to a particular website that is blocked for some reason or another. How to bypassthese restrictions is a very common question, and will be covered here.Lets pretend for a moment that the Internet is made up of 26 websites, A-Z. The web filter blocks your browser from accessing sites X-Z, but not sites A-W. Simply make the browser think you’re going toA-W. There are a variety of ways to do this:Proxy Servers:This is a list of http proxies. These sites may not be up forever, so you may need to search for “free http proxy” or “public proxy servers” or other similar terms.Proxy server lists:• http://www.aliveproxy.com• http://www.multiproxy.org• http://www.publicproxyservers.com/index.html• http://www.tehbox.com/proxy• http://www.proxz.com• http://www.proxy4free.com/index.html• http://free-proxies.com Now that you have a list of proxies, you would open IE (internet explorer) and click on Tools > InternetOptions > Connections > LAN Settings > Advanced. Enter the address and port of one of the serversfrom the list in the proper area (http) and make sure the “use a proxy server for your LAN” option isselected. Remember to replace the proxy and port at your terminal to the original when you're done.

It works on a select few web filters and is based on the same principal as the translation trick. By typing and address like“www.yahoo.com@www.restricted_site.com the filter will not go into effect as it recognizes the trustedsite (in this case yahoo.com)Other tricks:Simply open the command prompt and type:Ping restricted.com ? restricted.com obviously being the restricted siteAt this point you can take down the IP address (ex. 216.109.124.73) and enter it into the browser. If access to the command prompt is also restricted, see “How to bypass restrictions to get to the command prompt.” If this article has been taken from information leak, then know that it involves anything fromopening the browser, selecting view > source, then saving it as X.bat and opening it to opening a folder or browser and typing in the location of cmd.exe depending on the OS.
