Murican Music in the 1960s
The American music charts were dominated by the
success of the “British Invasion” in the early 1960s.
 
Soul was also becoming more popular from theSouthern US.
Rock „n‟ Roll had lost its popularity.
 
 America was looking for its “own” new style. This
gave way to the new styles of folk-rock and country-rock, also with slightly harder rock in the form of  blues rock.
Towards the end of the decade, psychedelic rock alsoemerged.
 
Bob Dylan - Instrumentation
Bob Dylan was a solo singer/song writer. He used:
 Acoustic Guitar
 Vocals
Harmonica
Later he used a rock band line-up (Lead vocals,Guitar, Bass, Drums + other percussion, and backing vocals.
