This awards ceremony comes at a time when Swaziland is faced Times Newspaper with real challenges from which will arise policies that will change and refine the direction of the Media News country since the 1970s economic reforms under King Sobhuza II. News Article Rejuvenating As The Home of Business in Swaziland, the awards are a rejuvenating force that remind the country of the potential it yields, by highlighting the achievements of excelling companies. The theme for the 2011 Inaugural Awards is Talent Management: The Key to Improving Productivity. The focus is on policies adopted by companies that adhere to excellent best business practices and human resource management. Under this theme, the awards have been divided into seven categories, l Corporate Governance l Human Resource Policies l Corporate Social Responsibility l Employee Wellness Programmes l Gender and Disability Programmes l Empowerment of SMMEs l Research and Development The human capital for any competitive company is one of the most important Critical to Quality (CtQ) components of production, and directly impacts on the performance standards of the business. The management teams are essential for bridging the gap between the key goal of the business and its current performance level (CPL). Thus, the EBLY 2011 theme focuses on people, and what companies are doing to invest in them. Investment The awards, however, are still business awards, thus the impact of the bottom line of companies, as a result of this investment, must be clear and can be proven.
