Valentino Zubiri Drawings / Paintings / Mixed Media on 14 inch ht. x 17 inch wd. paper, inspired by Waiting for Godot, Part 1 by Samuel Beckett, made in 2009 Download to get a better view. Okay to share in blogs, sites and filesharing
You must read Samuel Beckett's Waiting for Godot. Seeing the show is not enough, because you'll miss the lines. If you're depressed, you'll realize you're not alone. Take each line for yourself, see them as if they're cluing you in on what to do next with your life. Then look at my works.
Beckett's work is a classic / masterpiece. There's a reason why I obsessed with it. There are 43 works / drawings / paintings from Part 1. There are 2 parts in the play.
I basically had a lot of paper and an afternoon. Then later on I decided to color them. I like going for monochromatic, but I'm debating if I should glaze them with oil.
What you're looking at might change if I decide to apply a few more layers. Then again, I might not. If you look at my other book, Valentino F. Zubiri: Nude Drawings and Paintings, you will notice a similarity in the way I applied the pastel. I like pastel monochromatic and coarse.
You are allowed to download and share this in your blogs or anywhere else on the internet. I still own the originals.
