I'm from the African plains Dust clouds to the south. Im from sunday night rugby With Biltong aloft. Im From smoking braais to fires Boerewors and steak amongst the plate From Throws and ground work. Keeping Japanese discipline at all times Im From school house boys. Cricket and rugby was my life Teachings detentions Manners Maketh man. I am from birthday parties When Nojin Hip Is needed. From Household cleaners and The Zulu Yebo Im from city streets stuck to the road Amazed when the fire truck comes by Im from melodic notes gliding through my ear canal From lego connect it Imagination

Extension of my own I am from 360s in the air Splitting my lip on the rocks I am from the old oak with Its branches breaking under my hands Im from the silent throttling and humming of the deck Gliding across the sea to the horizon sun I am from middle names to christmas A death with me for eternity I am from those moments lost in my dreams, searching for something on the shelf, flicking page to page and searching in my docs Im in that family tree heir to the throne, it may not sound like much, but its where im from!!!
