A Device That Creates Pure Drinking Waterfrom Thin Air
Pure drinking water is essential for men to live a healthy life. For eons, man has ceaselessly tried to purify water for drinking purposes. Theearliest water purification systems were great at removing odors andimproving the taste of water; regrettably this could not remove themicroorganisms that caused most of the common diseases andepidemics. Progresses made in science and technology, gave mankindnew and more effective water purification systems such as reverseosmosis, distillation and UV water filtration. While each of thesemethods was a vast improvement over the older methods, they shareda common disadvantage - they purify ground or surface water in orderto produce pure drinking water. That brings us to an embarrassingquestion- How much of the toxic chemical wastes present in surfacewater can actually be removed by these water purification systems?Industrial growth has come at a price that might be hard to pay. Wehave dumped immeasurable quantities of toxic wastes into our sourcesof potable water over the years. The toxic industrial wastes, pesticidesfrom the agricultural fields and sewage have not only polluted thesurface water but also seeped through to the ground water level to alimit from which there is no coming back. Even the developedcountries use minerals like chlorine and fluoride, two carcinogenicminerals, for water treatment purposes. The lead used in plumbingsystems pollutes drinking water supplies. At this rate, surface waterwill not remain fit for any use, leave alone drinking.Scientists have finally turned to atmospheric water for a viablesolution. Strange as it sounds, we finally have a technology that
