Google Docs
allows you topost an article, which otherscan edit, revise, add to,etc. Everyone is doing thison the same document,instead of copies, whichwould then have to bereconciled with a mastercopy.
One serious limiting factor is that all interested  parties must first have a G-mail account with Google.
 Imagine yourself posting astory starter paragraph towhich all your students addand complete as the greatAmerican novel. Hmm…
