DAILY BIBLE READING
Objective: (1) To emphasize the importance of studying God’s Word. (2) To sharetips on how tostudy the Bible.
“Read your Bible. And not just read it, STUDY it, memorize it, apply it!” 
Many times have we heard this sentence uttered by pastors and cell leaders.Many regard it warily –
“Yeah, yeah, whatever. I’ll read it when I want to, not when you tell me to.” 
Some take it conditionally –
“I’ll do it when I have a spare time inmy schedule.” “I’ll do it if it’ll earn me a good standing with God, that way my  prayer just might be answered sooner. “
Only a few take it seriously. There are a lot of different responses when it comes to reading the Bible butone reason why many don’t find it inviting to
sit back, relax, and read the bible
isbecause they find it hard to understand.Discussion Question #1: Which part (or book) of the Bible do you find it hard tounderstand?Follow up question:Did you endure reading through it or did you justskip it?Everyone has gone through the stage of finding the Bible hard to understand.Our suggestion: JUST GO ON AND READ IT. Don’t skip it. Patience and endurancealways pays off nicely in the end. And besides, a time spent hard at workunderstanding God’s Word is never time wasted. You can also ask your pastor orcell leader to help you understand what you’re reading. Most importantly, ask theHoly Spirit to help you understand – that’s His role after all, to enlighten us andreveal to us the things that are hard to understand.Discussion Question #2: Share to the group a time when you’ve had a bigrevelation from theHoly Spirit while spending time studying His Word. There’s nothing more thrilling than discovering the nuggets of truth hidden inthe Bible. And the thrill gets better and better everytime you encounter a newrevelation from the same scripture that you’ve read over and over again for the pastyears. Not to mention if that revelation is exactly the kind of encouragement/rebuke/promise/etc. that you need at that very moment. It’s literallyhaving a message straight from God himself.
