Industrial Visit to the British Oxygen Company The students of section C of the PGDM batch 17 visited the British

Oxygen Company located in Peenya Industrial Area, Bangalore on 8th September as part of the programme to increase the institute industry relationship. The companys business is focussed in manufacture and supply of industrial and medical gases. The plant manager made a detailed presentation of the company that helped students appreciate the management practices, safety aspects, environmental measures and supply chain management of the company. The B.O.C group has a manufacturing plant at Bellary which supplies industrial oxygen, medical oxygen and acetylene to the Bangalore plant from where the gases are delivered to the dealers either in cylinders or directly as liquid on site storage. In fact, the logistical support at the company is to such an extent that there are zero stock outs. The students also got a chance to visit the different sections like gas filling section, storage section and delivery section along with the plant engineers who explained the processes involved at every stage.
