Company Overview
Morgan Signs is a 12 year veteran of the UK sign industry. Highlycommended in the 2005 & 2006 Sign Industry Awards, MorganSigns designs, manufactures and installs all kinds of signsincluding retail interiors and exteriors, graphic displays, andindustrial and corporate interior and exterior signs. Workflow Challenge
Morgan Signs’ existing order processing system fell short of automating the contract signatureprocess, so both contracts and artwork approvals were managed outside of their system --managing approximately 300-400 contracts and artwork approval documents per monthwas a processing headache. Many times artwork would be faxed back with changes and thefax was not clean enough to accurately read the customer change requests. Often, the salescycle was delayed because the customer simply forgot to fax back the signed agreement.Working on event signs is a time sensitive project -- customers expect to sign a contract inthe morning and have the work delivered in the afternoon — and sometimes Morgan Signswas forced to accept a verbal confirmation for a job, assuming all the risk if something wentawry. At best, the contract signature process was fraught with errors and duplication of work,and at worst, customers complained that it was difficult to do business with Morgan Signs.
EchoSign Solution
Rod Hill had been searching for an digital signature solution to address the problem. Thesolutions he reviewed were bulky, required manually updating a PDF document, or haverequired his customers tohave a digital signature — which wasimpractical andexpensive. One day,he upgradedhis telephone contract with BritishTelecom and receivedthe final agreement via EchoSign’s digital signature service.
