The Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) is a national student organization for all students in grades nine through twelve who initially become FBLA members while enrolled in a business or business-related course. A middle level has also been established for grades six through eight. FBLA is the largest student business organization in the world with over 250,000 members. FBLA gives students the "competitive edge" for career success. CHAPTER ACTIVITIES To provide participation in community service, free enterprise, and career development projects and experiences related to business. LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT Provides opportunities for members to develop skills in public speaking, group dynamics, goal setting, parliamentary procedure, and etiquette. COMPETITIVE EVENTS Provide learning situations which can improve knowledge, increase skill, and shape attitudes that will advance the student's business career. Choose from more than 30 different event categories including desktop publishing, public speaking, accounting, computer concepts, business math, and more! STATE LEADERSHIP CONFERENCES Provide activities which include speakers and workshops, competitive events, leadership development, and election of state officers. NATIONAL LEADERSHIP CONFERENCES Provide opportunities to travel to major cities in the United States such as Chicago, Orlando, Washington, D. C., Los Angeles, Nashville, Atlanta, San Antonio, Denver, Dallas, Birmingham, and Virginia Beach.
