MISSION
SET
The National Aeronautics and Space Administration
will
launch Gemini
11
and
its
Agena Target Vehicle no earlierthan Sept.
9
from
Kennedy
Space
Center,
Fla.
The three-day mission
will
include rendezvous anddocking
with
the Agena during the spacecraft's initialrevolution, use
of
a
power tool to perfom work
tasks
duringextravehicular activity,and maneuvering the spacecraft
to
an apogee
of
865
miles.
Other
activities
to
be
performed
as
time and propellant
allow
are
station-keeping
by
tethering the spacecraft to
the
Agena, completion
of 12
experiments, some of which
will
be
conducted during
a
more than two-hour standup
EVA,
andadditional docking practice.The controlled reentry
will
be
fully
automatic. Reentrycontrol commands
will
be computed and executed by the onboard
sys
erns.
