ershipMeeting last month at the Monte Carlo hotel in Las Vegas. Te meet-ing was a great success, with nearly 100 members present.President Pat Wirth covered the happenings o the last year and gave anin-depth state o the industry report. She reported that AOCA’s Donate Liecampaign was successul, raising nearly $75,000 or the cause.AOCA handed out three awards during the meeting: the AOCA Membero the Year, AOCA Associate Member o the Year and the Edward S. O’NeillCommunity Service Award. Adam Sturdivant, o Avis Lube, headquarteredin Midland, exas, won the Member o the Year award or his dedication tothis year’s inaugural Regional Meetings. Amber Kossak, o Solid Start, wasawarded the Associate Member o the Year or her dedication to the industry and assistance in the organization.For the frst time ever, the Edward S. O’Neill award was given to two worthy recipients. Te frst o these recipients was Len and Debbie Minco, operatorso two Kwik Kar locations in exas. Te Mincos choose one day per monthat each o their two stores to donate 10 percent o their sales rom the day toone local charity. Te other recipient was Steve Berkman, operator o Foot-hill Carwash Lube and Oil Center in La Canada, Caliornia. Berkman’s busi-ness is shining green.
