February 2009Dear Friend,Greetings to you in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, fromeveryone at the Full Gospel Lighthouse Church in Torrington, CT. The Lord is moving by His Spirit in the hearts and lives of Hispeople!No matter what people say about the Lord I still believe Jesus can transform lives by the power of the Spirit of God. Manypeople look for changes in their lives and they pray and searchbut all their efforts come up short. We can’t change ourselves byour own power because the only way a person can find the trueimage of God for their lives is by the Spirit of God. Only God canchange your heart! Some people get weary of trying to changeand therefore stop seeking God and His will and say that theyhave these character traits that cannot be altered. They say thatGod made them that way so they will accept themselves as theyare and that’s it. But that’s not it! Jesus came to transform usinto the image of Almighty God. Only He can change your heart,forgive you of sins, and make you into the person God alwaysintended you to be. Let the Word of God restore hope in youtoday! You can be changed! You can be different! You can havestrength and victory in your life through our Lord Jesus Christ!First, you must know that God loves you and He did notmake a mistake when He made you.
 John 3: 16
says, “
For Godso loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son,that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, buthave everlasting life
.” There are hundreds of pages in a bookcalled the Bible that tells us of Gods great love to you and me. Imust know this or I can’t go any farther. One important thing Ilearned over the years is that as long as I am searching for
my 
purpose,
my 
goals,
my 
reason for existence, I will never find it. Imust lose that way of thinking and search for
God’s
purpose,
God’s
goals, and
God’s
reasons for me being here.Next, I must look to Him so that I might live. We too oftenlook at our own faults and failures and defects and try as wemight to fix them, we either cover them up or blame others(including God) or resign ourselves to always having these thingsin us. But the Bible tells us to do something else: He said tobehold the glory of the Lord. Where do I do this? How can this
