2. UBCM Community Connections Grant - Langley Fine Arts School Playground

Letter received from the B.C. Farm Machinery and Agricultural Museum Association requesting an additional
$10,000 apart from their 2009 Capital Improvement Grant to complete their renovation project.

Clerk's Note: Capital Improvement Grant application ($7,500) will be considered as part of the 2009 grant process.
Current policy does not provide staff the ability to consider this additional $10,000 request.

Councillor Ferguson presented the following Notice of Motion within the deadlines according to Council’s
Policy:
1. Township Council Workshop

Whereas Township Council is beginning a new 3 year term;

Whereas there are many legal, Local Government Act and Community Charter matters that effect Council

decisions on a day to day basis;

Therefore be it resolved that Township Council hold a workshop with Township’s Legal Counsel (Bull,
Housser & Tupper) to review and discuss the rules and responsibilities of Mayor and Council; and further

Be it resolved that this workshop occur within the next 45 days or whenever viably possible.
