YOUR DECISION.
When it comes to approving casino gaming, a statewide referendum vote on the ballot doesn't go far enough. Every local community deserves their own voice. New York is already taking steps to approve commercial casinos, including efforts to place a statewide referendum vote on the ballot. The New York Times reported on September 19, 2012 that the process of amending the State Constitution to allow up to seven new full-scale, privately owned casinos, potentially worth billions of dollars to developers has already begun.
