Oskar Fischinger
In the 1930s and 40s, with an intention to creatework bound neither by time nor fashion, OskarFischinger envisaged a union between abstract artand music, producing over 50 animated short films inthe process. Seen in the modern cultural context of computer graphics and music videos, these filmshave lost none of their appeal, as they evoke thestrange sensation of simultaneous familiarity andcomplete creative originality.

The bonnet splits open insteadof having to be lifted, the tail can be seamlesslyraised or lowered and the concealed headlights blinkopen like eyelids. It is expected to be the main designinfluence for the next generation of BMW roadsters.
