Handbook for Tribulation Saints

Chapter 1

The Saints which are the church must pass through the great tribulation

Events have been unfolding irresistibly since the beginning of the earth to bring
all things to this great climax after which there will be no more death. "…death
and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. And whosoever
was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire. And I saw a
new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed
away; and there was no more sea. And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem,
coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her
husband. And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle
of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and
God himself shall be with them, and be their God. And God shall wipe away all
tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor
crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed
away. And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And
he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful. And he said unto
me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto
him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely. He that overcometh
shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son. But the
fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and
whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in
the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death." I
must with great care in this handbook, just as did the apostle, say "For I have not
shunned to declare unto you all the counsel of God." Having been imprisoned
three times for the gospel for a short time, I write you my perspective in this
handbook.

As many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed

This book is all about worship. Rev 13:15 "And he had power to give life unto the
image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause
that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed." The
worship of self in conjunction with all those who do the same, the principal one
being Satan himself. Or on the other hand the worship of God the Creator in
unselfishness even as God has shown himself unselfish in the giving of himself
and His Son: the giving by the Son Jesus of himself that he might populate the
glorious everlasting Kingdom. Around this great indispensable requirement for
fellowship and participation in the everlasting kingdom has swirled the destiny of
every soul who has ever lived from Adam to you and I.

Everyone who has ever lived who did not respond to the voice of God pleading
with them in their inner man to come to him, but selfishly shrugged it off and
resisted this call, were weighed in the meticulous, impartial scale of justice by our
great awesome Creator and Governor of the Universe who was forced to find
them as enemies of the everlasting Kingdom and will therefore, of necessity, cast
them into Hell and the Lake of Fire.

The Bible is very clear about God not having respect of persons as we read in
Col. 3:25 "But he that doeth wrong shall receive for the wrong which he hath
done: and there is no respect of persons." and in I Pet 1:17 "And if ye call on the
Father, who without respect of persons judgeth according to every man’s work,
pass the time of your sojourning here in fear…" It can be said as the Everlasting
Kingdom is inaugurated that God treated every individual of all mankind who
have ever lived without partiality, whether king or remote savage. The Great
white throne judgment will clarify this. Rev. 20 declares: "…I saw a great white
throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled
away; and there was found no place for them. And I saw the dead, small and
great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was
opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things
which were written in the books, according to their works. And the sea gave up
the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were
in them: and they were judged every man according to their works. And death
and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. And whosoever
was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire…"

With this reality everyone is given the proper meaning for life. All men worship at
the throne of God or selfishly at the altar of their own making. Roman 1 says:
"Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were
thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was
darkened. Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools, and changed
the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man,
and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things. Wherefore God also
gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour
their own bodies between themselves: Who changed the truth of God into a lie,
and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed
for ever. Amen. For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections…" Every
man knew God but these rejected Him.

Every Christian to be hunted down

Jesus has said that we will be forced to flee from our comfortable homes and
jobs because the powerful evil usurper will be so strong that whosoever refuses
to worship the beast image will be persecuted and killed. Mat. 24:21 "For then
shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this
time, no, nor ever shall be. And except those days should be shortened, there
should no flesh be saved: but for the elect’s sake those days shall be shortened."

Most get to Heaven by Martyrdom

Only simply believing a few texts we can see that all Christians on earth will not
be able escape this time of tribulation. The condition coming over the earth is
something like that of fish who live in a river being slowly polluted and there is
only a faint feeling that something is wrong even though their death is imminent.
So is the danger to everyone.

The Dead in Christ shall rise first

Administering comfort to the family of a deceased brother in México by the texts
that are found in I Thes. 4:16 the pastor spoke of "For the Lord himself shall
descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the
trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and
remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in
the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord." This text is clear; the apostles
taught that the dead in Christ must arise before what has been called the rapture
takes place. The word rapture has been used for the moment when the living,
without passing through death, are transformed into their glorified body. The new
body will be similar to that eternal body which Jesus possesses since His
resurrection.

The dead in Christ shall rise at the last Trumpet.

The Brother then read the passage in I Cor. 15 where Paul specifically states:
51-55 "Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be
changed, In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the
trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall
be changed. For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must
put on immortality. So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and
this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying
that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory. O death, where is thy sting? O
grave, where is thy victory?" This clearly is teaching that we which are alive and
remain must await the last trumpet and the transforming of the dead saints after
which we will put on inmortality.

How many last trumpets can there be?

The Bible speaks in Rev. 10:7 "But in the days of the voice of the seventh angel,
when he shall begin to sound, the mystery of God should be finished, as he
hath declared to his servants the prophets." And again in Rev 11: 14-18 "The
second woe is past; and, behold, the third woe cometh quickly. And the seventh
angel sounded; and there were great voices in heaven, saying, The
kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his
Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever. And the four and twenty elders,
which sat before God on their seats, fell upon their faces, and worshipped God,
Saying, We give thee thanks, O Lord God Almighty, which art, and wast, and art
to come; because thou hast taken to thee thy great power, and hast reigned. And
the nations were angry, and thy wrath is come, and the time of the dead, that
they should be judged, and that thou shouldest give reward unto thy servants the
prophets, and to the saints, and them that fear thy name, small and great; and
shouldest destroy them which destroy the earth."
Only in the last few hundred years has the doctrine thought to make these
scriptures say what they cannot be made to say, falsely teaching that the church
will be taken out before the last trumpet. Here the Bible plainly says that at the
last trumpet Christ shall return to earth to reign and the dead and living Saints
shall meet him in the Air as He returns, to reign on earth with Him with glorified
bodies. The last Trumpet sounds as long as it takes the appearing and coming in
the air of Jesus to earth when He sets his foot on the Mount of Olives.

Jude 1:14 says: "And Enoch also, the seventh from Adam, prophesied of these,
saying, Behold, the Lord cometh with ten thousands of his saints, To execute
judgment upon all, and to convince all that are ungodly among them of all their
ungodly deeds which they have ungodly committed, and of all their hard
speeches which ungodly sinners have spoken against him." The reason why men
have twisted and nullified these plain statements of the Bible will be taken up
latter as a necessary and very important understanding for tribulation saints.

In Rev, 19:2 we read, "For true and righteous are his judgments: for he hath
judged the great whore, which did corrupt the earth with her fornication, and hath
avenged the blood of his servants at her hand." The marriage super of the
Lamb will not take place until the destruction of the great whore in Chapter
17 and 18 has taken place which is the seat of the Antichrist power which
happens at the very end of the great tribulation. "And the woman which thou
sawest is that great city, which reigneth over the kings of the earth. And after
these things I saw another angel come down from heaven, having great power;
and the earth was lightened with his glory. And he cried mightily with a strong
voice, saying, Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen, and is become the habitation
of devils, and the hold of every foul spirit, and a cage of every unclean and
hateful bird."

Jesus tells us in Math. 24: "Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall
the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall
from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken: And then shall
appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the
earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven
with power and great glory. And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a
trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one
end of heaven to the other." Jesus says that the darkness and cataclysm at the
end of the tribulation the angels will be sent to gathered the elect. Are they not
the church?

The Saints are present in the Great Tribulation

These passages plainly state that the catching away of the saints shall come only
after all of the trumpets have sounded and that the church and the saints will be
present for all of the terrible tribulation that Jesus spoke of in Math. 24: 21 "For
then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world
to this time, no, nor ever shall be. And except those days should be shortened,
there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect’s sake those days shall be
shortened."

The concept that we can be Christians and not suffer is a subtle doctrine of
Satan that will leave the so call Christians lamenting to be part of that group
called the foolish virgins unprepared and fallen away at his coming. This
message is to exhort you to buy oil for your lamp while there is time.

Where has this complicated and unbiblical doctrine come from, teaching that we
can escape before our dead brothers and sisters are raised? There is no honest
way that I know of to reconcile the doctrine that we have preached of the escape
of the Christians with these passages. Please feel free to enlighten me if I am
wrong. I wrote this up and sent it out all over the U. S. in 1988 and as yet no one
has said more than they disagree with me on this doctrine. Never has anyone
come forward and given me a solid Bible explanation for their rejection.

I must not miss the mark, I must not shun to declare all the counsel of God. To
lose our souls is to lose everything, better that we had never been born. It has
been said that the church was not found after chapter 3 of Revelations. I read
that the saints are there. Are they not the church?

In Chapter 6 of Revelation in the 5th seal the martyrs in the presence of God are
told in verse 11 "And white robes were given unto every one of them; and it was
said unto them, that they should rest yet for a little season, until their
fellowservants also and their brethren, that should be killed as they were, should
be fulfilled." Saints were in the fifth seal in the great tribulation and have been
killed and more of the Saints which are the true church are yet to be martyred
according to this passage. Would it be proper to say that all those who deny that
the saints of the church suffer are not part of the true church and to warn you to
flee from them? We begin to see what is behind this doctrine.

In Chapter 7 of Revelation verse 2 says: "And I saw another angel ascending

from the east, having the seal of the living God: and he cried with a loud voice to
the four angels, to whom it was given to hurt the earth and the sea, Saying, Hurt
not the earth, neither the sea, nor the trees, till we have sealed the servants of
our God in their foreheads." Again in verse 14 it says "These are they which
came out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white
in the blood of the Lamb." What is the reason to deny that church that is
composed of the saints of God are not mentioned after Chapter three of
Revelations when it plainly says that the first business to attend to in the great
tribulation is to seal the servants of God so that they will not be touched by the
plagues that are to come, just as the blood was applied to the doorposts in Egypt
and the first born were spared. The suffering will not come from God but from
persecution from the Antichrist . The Bible here declares that there will be a great
multitude of the Church who are to be martyred. God has always prepared and
comforted his finest for the martyrs crown just as he did with Stephen the first
martyr in Acts the 7th chapter.

In Chapter 9 of Revelation verse 3 "And there came out of the smoke locusts
upon the earth: and unto them was given power, as the scorpions of the earth
have power. And it was commanded them that they should not hurt the grass of
the earth, neither any green thing, neither any tree; but only those men which
have not the seal of God in their foreheads." The Church, the servants of God
were present for they are mentioned as being protected by God from being bitten
by the terrible locusts.

In Chapter 10 of Revelation verse 7 says: "But in the days of the voice of the
seventh angel, when he shall begin to sound, the mystery of God should be
finished, as he hath declared to his servants the prophets." Is not this the
moment of the resurrection of the dead and church being taken out? Is this not
the same trumpet of I. Thes. 4:16?

In Chapter 11 of Revelation verse 3-9 tells of the two witnesses: "And I will give
power unto my two witnesses, and they shall prophesy a thousand two hundred
and threescore days, clothed in sackcloth. These are the two olive trees, and the
two candlesticks standing before the God of the earth. And if any man will hurt
them, fire proceedeth out of their mouth, and devoureth their enemies: and if any
man will hurt them, he must in this manner be killed. These have power to shut
heaven, that it rain not in the days of their prophecy: and have power over waters
to turn them to blood, and to smite the earth with all plagues, as often as they
will. And when they shall have finished their testimony, the beast that ascendeth
out of the bottomless pit shall make war against them, and shall overcome them,
and kill them. … And after three days and an half the Spirit of life from God
entered into them, and they stood upon their feet; and great fear fell upon them
which saw them. And they heard a great voice from heaven saying unto them,
Come up hither. And they ascended up to heaven in a cloud; and their enemies
beheld them. And the same hour was there a great earthquake, and the tenth
part of the city fell, and in the earthquake were slain of men seven thousand: and
the remnant were affrighted, and gave glory to the God of heaven. The second
woe is past; and, behold, the third woe cometh quickly. And the seventh angel
sounded; and there were great voices in heaven, saying, The kingdoms of this
world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign
for ever and ever."

We notice here that the moment of the resurrection of the righteous dead being
raised comes at the end of the second Woe when the two witnesses are raised.
The third woe is the coming of Jesus and the seventh trumpet begins to sound
and the Lord descends and the remaining living saints are transformed and join
Jesus in the air. This is the crowning moment for the two witnesses and for the
church. Those who deny that the two witness are part of the church are reflecting
their apostate doctrine that there can be Christians without suffering, without
taking up their cross. By denying suffering for the Saints they prove that they are
not part of the true church. They have not repented and taken up their cross.
They are halfhearted believers who have never been able to come to the new
birth. Stillborns who have never surrendered all and come to true repentance
who argue that Christians sin all the time for they know nothing of the "Joy of the
Lord" that allows one to walk in the spirit and not after the flesh. They have been
deceived by a mental acceptance philosophical scheme from paganism instead
of whole hearted believing and repenting. Yes the two witness are part of the
Church and the saints as a group are called the church which is on earth until we
all go up proceeded by them and the righteous dead.

In Chapter 12 we read in the last verse of the church: "And the dragon was wroth
with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep
the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ." Those who
keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ are
part of the church, notice that this does not apply to unbelieving Jews.

In Chapter 13 verse 7 it says of the Antichrist: "And it was given unto him to
make war with the saints, and to overcome them: and power was given him over
all kindreds, and tongues, and nations." The Church and the Saints are present
in the great tribulation.

In Chapter 14 of Revelation it says just before the earth is reaped in the

winepress of the wrath of God: "And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for
ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and
his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name. Here is the patience
of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of
Jesus. And I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, Write, Blessed are the
dead which die in the Lord from henceforth: Yea, saith the Spirit, that they
may rest from their labours; and their works do follow them." Here it clearly states
that most of the last day church will be killed in the tribulation. It says that we
should count it as a blessing to die for the Lord in the days of the Antichrist. If I
refuse to preach this blessing, am I a true servant of the Lord? This brings doubt
on the pretrib advocates. Could it be that they have never repented and really
been converted? This would explain why they are so afraid to go against the
popular notions of men and do not preach the loving of Jesus unto death.

In Chapter 15 we read in verse 2 "And I saw as it were a sea of glass mingled

with fire: and them that had gotten the victory over the beast, and over his image,
and over his mark, and over the number of his name, stand on the sea of glass,
having the harps of God. And they sing the song of Moses the servant of God,
and the song of the Lamb, saying, Great and marvelous are thy works, Lord God
Almighty; just and true are thy ways, thou King of saints. Who shall not fear thee,
O Lord, and glorify thy name? for thou only art holy: for all nations shall come
and worship before thee; for thy judgments are made manifest.

Here we are given the glorious hope, to at our death, in the midst of the great
tribulation, to stand on the sea of golden glass before the throne and look upon
the face of God and sing with a harp in our hand. The righteous dead leave the
horrors on earth and finish the great tribulation before the throne of God until the
resurrection of their bodies. Yes, here is conclusive proof the church is there
graduating by martyrdom to heaven during the great tribulation. Is there a more
exciting experience possible? One moment in the atmosphere of demonic
hatred, bearing excruciating torture or being beheaded, the next standing before
the Throne of the Creator on the sea of glass in a great praise service.

In Chapter 16 of the Revelation just before the battle of Armageddon we read of

the sermon to be preached to the church in the great Tribulation in verse 15:
"Behold, I come as a thief. Blessed is he that watcheth, and keepeth his
garments, lest he walk naked, and they see his shame. And he gathered them
together into a place called in the Hebrew tongue Armageddon." These days of
suffering will seem interminable but we are to preach "Blessed is he that
watcheth, and keepeth his garments, lest he walk naked, and they see his
shame."

In Chapter 17 of Revelation in verse 8: "The beast that thou sawest was, and is
not; and shall ascend out of the bottomless pit, and go into perdition: and they
that dwell on the earth shall wonder, whose names were not written in the book
of life from the foundation of the world, when they behold the beast that was, and
is not, and yet is." There are those of the church who will be saved whose names
are written from the foundation of the world in the Book of Life who are present in
the great tribulation when the beast ascends from the bottomless pit.

In Chapter 18 of the revelation in verse 4 we find that there is a call to come to

God to those who are His people who are present there. "And I heard another
voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers
of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues." It says that in the midst of the
evil empire existing at the end of the tribulation a call is made to God’s people to
come out of it. Those who respond to this call become saints and are part of the
church.
In Chapter 19 The church is mentioned as those who are present at the
marriage supper of the lamb whose first act is to praise God for who "he hath
judged the great whore" in Chapters 17 and 18. This places the rapture and
the beginning of the Marriage Supper after the 18th chapter judgement.
First the church responds to the command to praise and accompanies: "And a
voice came out of the throne, saying, Praise our God, all ye his servants, and ye
that fear him, both small and great. And I heard as it were the voice of a great
multitude, and as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of mighty
thunderings, saying, Alleluia: for the Lord God omnipotent reigneth. Let us be
glad and rejoice, and give honor to him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come,
and his wife hath made herself ready. And to her was granted that she should be
arrayed in fine linen, clean and white: for the fine linen is the righteousness of
saints."

In Chapter 20 in verse 4: 4-6: "And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and
judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were
beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had
not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark
upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ
a thousand years. But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand
years were finished. This is the first resurrection. Blessed and holy is he that hath
part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they
shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years."
Here again we find the church mentioned as present in the tribulation period and
of many being beheaded for their witness for Jesus in the great tribulation.

In Daniel Chapter 11 verse 30-34 it tells us of the saints being present in the
great tribulation: "For the ships of Chittim shall come against him: therefore he
shall be grieved, and return, and have indignation against the holy covenant: so
shall he do; he shall even return, and have intelligence with them that forsake the
holy covenant. And arms shall stand on his part, and they shall pollute the
sanctuary of strength, and shall take away the daily sacrifice, and they shall
place the abomination that maketh desolate. And such as do wickedly against
the covenant shall he corrupt by flatteries: but the people that do know their
God shall be strong, and do exploits. And they that understand among the
people shall instruct many: yet they shall fall by the sword, and by flame, by
captivity, and by spoil, many days. Now when they shall fall, they shall be holpen
with a little help: but many shall cleave to them with flatteries." Notice that one of
the dangers in losing your soul in the great tribulation is being taken in by flattery.
More will be said about this under the chapter on imprisonment.

What will go through the mind when the Mark of the Beast is required?
It seems our Lord places this responsibility on me that is expressed in the verse
in Math. 24:45 "Who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom his lord hath made
ruler over his household, to give them meat in due season? Blessed is that
servant, whom his lord when he cometh shall find so doing."

What is going to be going through the mind of the person who was convinced by
his pastor and church fellowship that he was going to be raptured out before the
tribulation when the proclamation is made that he can no longer buy or sell
because he does not have the approval of the government, and must have the
special authorization mark? Will he doubt that his doctrine was correct about the
rapture or will he doubt that his whole doctrine about Christ is correct? At the
very least the existence of this book should prepare him somewhat that he will
not cast all of his faith to the winds and think that it was not all the gospel but only
the interpretation of prophecy in which he was mistaken. It is necessary that we
be prepared and prepare our children to face the terrible times that are coming
on earth. One of the aspects of the great apostasy of these last days is a false
emphasis that seems like the true gospel but subtly we will be deceived into a
position that when the "beginning of sorrows" or tribulation comes over us like the
birth pangs comes over the young mother who has never had a child before, we
will be confused and deny our Lord and lose our soul forever. What is the seed of
this false doctrine? It is a false gospel that dares not preach that Christians must
suffer. It is not that the doctrine of the rapture coming before the tribulation is a
major doctrine that makes one go to hell or heaven. No, but the gospel preached
that has taken out the cross and the suffering for every Christian is a false gospel
and is part of the last day Antichrist delusion.

This doctrine is not essential for Salvation

I realize that a doctrinal position on these prophetic things is not necessary for
salvation. If you or I are wrong it will happen exactly like God has planned it, and
if I am following the Lord with all of my heart he will make sure that I am among
the redeemed. The great danger is exactly that my concept of what is Christianity
and its situation in the world will leave me unprepared. It could be illustrated as
something like walking through the yard in the dark and stepping on a rake and
the rake handle comes up and hits you in the face. This will be the sudden way
the end times will come on us. Lk. 21: 3 "…take heed to yourselves, lest at any
time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting, and drunkenness, and the cares
of this life, and so that day come upon you unawares. For as a snare shall it
come on all them that dwell on the face of the whole earth. Watch ye therefore,
and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that
shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man."
Where does the Bible teach four or more Resurrections?

There are only two resurrections taught in the Bible. In Rev. 20:4 "And I saw
thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw
the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word
of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had
received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and
reigned with Christ a thousand years. But the rest of the dead lived not again
until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection. Blessed
and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death
hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with
him a thousand years." We read books and constantly hear of many
resurrections, of the dead at the rapture, of the tribulation saints, of the two
witnesses etc. Such casual handling of the word is truly a great error. Would one
not think that some justification would be given for have a doctrine with more
than the two resurrections mentioned in the Bible. The pre tribulation theory is
illustrated by this fragmented approach. We dare not have more respect for men
and their theories than the Bible. The first resurrection is to eternal life and the
second is to the great white throne judgment to be cast into the lake of fire. Men
have spoken of the dead who walked in the night of the crucifixion (Math 27:52)
as one of these resurrections.. But these were just passing through from
paradise to heaven and left their old bodies where they found them. They still do
not have glorified bodies. Does the appearance of Moses and Elijah at the
transfiguration of Jesus not teach us that they had not received their glorified
bodies any more than that he body of Jesus was glorified. This is all to take place
at the first resurrection. Is there not room here for a discussion in the church and
the heart of every Christian about there being just two resurrections. The first and
the last.

Strange interpretation of the word "let"

From childhood we have heard that the interpretation of the word "let" in the II
Thes. 2 applies to the church. "Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of
our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto him, That ye be not
soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter
as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand. Let no man deceive you by any
means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and
that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; who opposeth and exalteth
himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God
sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God. Remember ye not,
that, when I was yet with you, I told you these things? And now ye know what
withholdeth that he might be revealed in his time. For the mystery of iniquity
doth already work: only he who now letteth will let until he be taken out of the
way. And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with
the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming: Even
him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and
lying wonders, and with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that
perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.
And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe
a lie: that they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure
in unrighteousness."

It has been declared with no particular Bible foundation that the thing that is
withholding the Antichrist establishing his kingdom is the church. That it is to say
that the church must be raptured out so that the Antichrist can takeover the earth.
That it is the church that withholdeth, is holding back or allowing or ‘let’th.
However why speculate with the clear Bible answer in Daniel 11:20? "Then said
he, Knowest thou wherefore I come unto thee? and now will I return to fight with
the prince of Persia: and when I am gone forth, lo, the prince of Grecia shall
come. But I will shew thee that which is noted in the scripture of truth: and there
is none that holdeth with me in these things, but Michael your prince." Here we
see that the great Archangel is in charge of changing the kingdoms on earth. He
is to change the Persian Kingdom to the Greek Kingdom. Did this great angel die
or change tasks after this. Of course not: He with Michael is still pending and
doing the will of God. He does not know when this will be for Jesus said in Mt.
24:36 "But of that day and hour knoweth no man no, not the angels of heaven,
but my Father only." The Archangels are awaiting the word from the Father as
when to proceed to bring about the changes that will bring in the antichrist
kingdom. Shame on anyone giving an interpretation of their own making instead
of taking the plain teaching of the Bible.

We find that the great tribulation is precipitated by Michael standing up. Dan.
12:1-21 "And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince which standeth
for the children of thy people: and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never
was since there was a nation even to that same time: and at that time thy people
shall be delivered, every one that shall be found written in the book. And many of
them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and
some to shame and everlasting contempt." It is clear that the archangels are the
withholders or "let" ers. With these clear texts in the word, How can one
confidently bend all texts to suit a wrong interpretation of the term "let"?

Because of focusing the attention on this word "let", we have not carefully
considered this whole passage. Paul states that the church will see the Antichrist
sitting in the temple of God proclaiming himself to be God. Why teach that the
rapture will come before this time? You must study the motives of those who do
not wish to add this plain teaching.
The tribulation will be precipitated by the Archangel Michael when he
stands up.

This "standing up" can be understood by seeing how this phrase is used in other
preceding parts of Daniel. Again in Daniel Chapter 12:1 "And at that time shall
Michael stand up, the great prince which standeth for the children of thy people:
and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation
even to that same time: and at that time thy people shall be delivered, every one
that shall be found written in the book. And many of them that sleep in the dust of
the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and
everlasting contempt. And they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the
firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars for ever and
ever." This clearly places the ressurection and rapture at the time of deliverence
from the time of trouble when the wise shall shine.

Paul says, "Remember ye not, that, when I was yet with you, I told you these
things?" He had surely preached to them from the foundation of the prophecies
of Old Testament scripture and especially these texts in Daniel.

Chapter 2

Looking at the book of Revelation

Notice that all Christians are to be blessed who study and understand the Book
of Revelation according to verse 3 "Blessed is he that readeth, and they that hear
the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written therein…"

It has been taught by many that the book of Revelations is like a chronology that
speaks of the past, present and future events. They use 1:19 which says, "Write
the things which thou hast seen, and the things which are, and the things which
shall be hereafter" Using this verse it is stated that the past is the first Chapter,
the present is the instructions to the churches and that after chapter 4 the word
church is not mentioned and therefore presumed to be raptured. Then there is an
effort to make all that follows a continuous chronological story of unfolding
events. It may be seen that the great event of Revelation is referred to in verse 7
"Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also
which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him." We
see that the unfolding of the events are given from different perspectives. To
understand them it is necessary to note that the seventh seal 8:1, Seventh
trumpet sounded 11:15* 10:7, Seventh angel pours out he seventh vial 16:17*,
Seventh Thunder 19:6 ?, the third Woe 18, The coming of Christ and the supper
19:1 are all speaking of the same event. We must then properly understand the
unfolding of events by adjusting the chronology to the great event of Christ’s
coming. For instance the 7th seal leaves heaven silent as Christ moves out
toward earth. The Seventh Trumpet also shows that on earth when he shall
begin to sound, the mystery of God should be finished, as he hath declared to his
servants the prophets. and there were great voices in heaven, saying, The
kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ;
and he shall reign for ever and ever.

"The seventh vial was poured into the air; and there came a great voice out of the
temple of heaven, from the throne, saying, It is done. And there were voices, and
thunders, and lightnings; and there was a great earthquake, such as was not
since men were upon the earth, so mighty an earthquake, and so great. And the
great city was divided into three parts, and the cities of the nations fell: and great
Babylon came in remembrance before God, to give unto her the cup of the wine
of the fierceness of his wrath." Jerusalem was prepared for the new kingdom to
be set up with the earthquake dividing it.

The last or third woe is at this moment. The words "alas, alas" in Chapter 18:10
are from the same Greek word that is translated "woe". The destruction of the
False metaphysical religious system centered in Rome and Babylon are
destroyed at His coming.

The Rapture cannot take place until after the last Woe

Notice that in Chapter 19 the marriage supper cannot take place until this
happens according to verse 2: "Alleluia; Salvation, and glory, and honour, and
power, unto the Lord our God: For true and righteous are his judgments: for he
hath judged the great whore, which did corrupt the earth with her fornication, and
hath avenged the blood of his servants at her hand. And again they said, Alleluia.
And her smoke rose up for ever and ever." This again shows conclusively that
the Rapture cannot take place until after the Antichrist religious system is
destroyed. This text clearly destroys the bewitching dream that the church will be
at the marriage supper during the great tribulation.

Apart from the 3 Woes mentioned in 9:12, 11:14, 18:10, 16, 19 we must look at
the various sevens in the words dictated by Jesus and the revelation of John,
There are 18 sevens as follows.

1. Seven churches 1:11

2. Seven candlesticks 1:13

3. Seven stars 1:16 angels of the churches

4. Seven spirits of God 3:1 4:5

5. Seven lamps before throne 4:5

6. Seven seals 5:1 seventh seal 8:1*

7. Seven horns 5:6

8. seven eyes 5:6

9. seven spirits of lamb 5:6

10. Seven Angels 8:2

11. Seven Trumpets 8:2 8:6 Seventh sounded 11:15*

12. Seven thunders 10:3 10:4 sealed up

13. Seven thousand men slain 11:13

14. Seven heads of the beast 13:1

15. Seven last plagues held by seven angels 15:1, 6, 17:29

16. Seven golden vials of the wrath of God 15:7 16:1 *16:17

17. Seven heads of the scarlet Beast 17:3 17:7, 11

18. Seven kings 17:10

Notice also how that the great earthquake happens in the 6th seal just before the
7th vial and at the rapture of the two witnesses. "And I beheld when he had
opened the sixth seal, and, lo, there was a great earthquake; and the sun
became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became as blood; And the
stars of heaven fell unto the earth, even as a fig tree casteth her untimely figs,
when she is shaken of a mighty wind. And the heaven departed as a scroll when
it is rolled together; and every mountain and island were moved out of their
places. And the kings of the earth, and the great men, and the rich men, and the
chief captains, and the mighty men, and every bondman, and every free man, hid
themselves in the dens and in the rocks of the mountains; And said to the
mountains and rocks, Fall on us, and hide us from the face of him that sitteth on
the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb: For the great day of his wrath is
come; and who shall be able to stand?"

At the time of the rapture of the two witnesses "And the same hour was there a
great earthquake, and the tenth part of the city fell, and in the earthquake were
slain of men seven thousand: and the remnant were affrighted, and gave glory to
the God of heaven."
At the last vial "And there were voices, and thunders, and lightnings; and there
was a great earthquake, such as was not since men were upon the earth, so
mighty an earthquake, and so great. And the great city was divided into three
parts…"

Ask: why is this "easy way out" doctrine widely taught?

This question brings us to the need to understand the spirit of the apostasy in the
latter days as we are warned about by Jesus himself in Mt. 24:24 "For there shall
arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders;
insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect."

If we are to survive to reach heaven when these most extreme times come upon
us we must understand the nature of this apostasy. What is the measurement
with which we can determine what is the truth? First of course is the Bible. Let us
realize that our traditions must never be placed on a level with Bible. Secondly
we cannot understand with out being fully repented and receiving the
reconciliation with the Father. This comes by trusting Jesus’ perfect sacrifice and
brings the sweet presence of the Holy Spirit to our hearts.

If we are not selfless but standing at a distance and not fully surrendered we will
be taken in by something that appeals to our selfishness. Because of our
lukewarm half heartedness we are promised that God will turn us over to strong
delusion for the text above says. "…because they received not the love of the
truth, that they might be saved. And for this cause God shall send them strong
delusion, that they should believe a lie: that they all might be damned who
believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness." God will withdraw
from those who do not search for him with all of their heart.

Thirdly the common thread that characterizes this pre tribulation rapture theory is
that they do not understand nor preach true repentance. Hand in hand with this
doctrine is the error of supposing that one can take follow Jesus without taking
up his own cross, without dying to self, without surrendering all of our will to His
will.

There is talk of the critical mass, the 60 pounds or whatever of refined Uranium
that is necessary for an atomic bomb to work. What is the critical mass in
Christian experience that will change our life from ending in hell to ending in
heaven? What good is it to know a lot of Bible and have a part in a great
congregation and still at death to discover that we are cast into hell? The more
spiritual and the more biblical the congregation that still doesn’t bring us to reach
God’s minimum requirement for heaven, the more deadly it is.
To be prepared for this mighty time of persecution we must have all of these
matters clear in our hearts. I will try in this next part to show what are the
purposes of God. Once we understand the true; then we can begin to reveal the
false. The true idea is that one must not be made to be dependent on anyone to
think for Him but that he comes to the full maturity in the faith and is able to stand
alone. For this is certain, in this time of trouble every man and woman will be
isolated from other Christians in the prisons and one must be able to stand alone.

The testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.

Rev, 19:10 "And I fell at his feet to worship him. And he said unto me, See [thou
do it] not: I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren that have the testimony of
Jesus: worship God: for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy."

Jesus began his ministery ministering to the thousands. The forces of darkness
slowly closed in. Jesus prepared his disciples as he spoke to them in John 6.
"Will you also go away.? The time came that no one stood with him.

Just before the cross, the darkness was so great that the disciple slept because
of the sorrow.

Lk. 22:44 And being in an agony he prayed more earnestly: and his sweat was
as it were great drops of blood falling down to the ground.

45 And when he rose up from prayer, and was come to his disciples, he found
them sleeping for sorrow,

46 And said unto them, Why sleep ye? rise and pray, lest ye enter into
temptation.

47 And while he yet spake, behold a multitude, and he that was called Judas,
one of the twelve, went before them, and drew near unto Jesus to kiss him.

Joel 3:14 "Multitudes, multitudes in the valley of decision: for the day of the
LORD [is] near in the valley of decision. The sun and the moon shall be
darkened, and the stars shall withdraw their shining."

In this same way a great sorrow will fall over the whole world. In the same way
that the darkess fell over the land at the crucifixion of Jesus so will the same evil
darkeness fall over the world just before the winepress of the grapes of wrath are
tread. In this time we must be abiding in Jesus. Those who do will be the church
without spot or wrinkle as spoken of in Eph. 5:27 "That he might present it to
himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that
it should be holy and without blemish." All who apparently are part of the church
but live for themselves, will deny the Lord Jesus and turn in the true brothers.

Chapter 3

Understanding the purposes of our sovereign God in the Creation.

The great Purpose of every Man

Jesus enlarges on the theme that the preeminent purpose of every man is to
place his life, which is represented by the blood, in full surrender and obedience
to the Heavenly Father and to his purpose of building the Everlasting Kingdom. It
is the only way that life can be directed that we will have true blessing and
happiness. This is taught by Jesus in Math. 5:3 "Blessed are the poor in spirit: for
theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be
comforted. Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth. Blessed are
they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.
Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy. Blessed are the pure in
heart: for they shall see God. Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be
called the children of God. Blessed are they which are persecuted for
righteousness’ sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are ye, when
men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against
you falsely, for my sake. Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward
in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you." The fully
surrendered life brings the sweetness of the Spirit and is the only way to walk in
these blessings.

The only successful life

Here we can see the only successful life. It is the success of becoming at death
part of the Everlasting Kingdom forever. All success that does not have this as
the finality of life is a complete failure. However to have this result it is clear we
must seek from God wisdom and direction in all things in poorness of spirit. We
must rely on God to sustain us when we suffer defamation. We must in our
hearts work for the salvation of all possible by overlooking many injustices being
peacemakers. We must suffer persecution from many if we walk in the steps of
Jesus. The crowning joy is that we evoke by our lives surrendered to God
antagonism on the part of the rebellious in this world. Paul says in Romans 8 that
those who walk not after the spirit shall die: "For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall
die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live. For
as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God. For ye have
not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of
adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father. The Spirit itself beareth witness with our
spirit, that we are the children of God…" Jesus made the terms clear in Math.
10:32 "Whosoever therefore shall confess me before men, him will I confess also
before my Father which is in heaven. But whosoever shall deny me before men,
him will I also deny before my Father which is in heaven. Think not that I am
come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword. For I am
come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her
mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law. And a man’s foes
shall be they of his own household. He that loveth father or mother more than me
is not worthy of me: and he that loveth son or daughter more than me is not
worthy of me. And he that taketh not his cross, and followeth after me, is not
worthy of me. He that findeth his life shall lose it: and he that loseth his life for my
sake shall find it." Notice that for us to proclaim or assure any other way than this
into the Everlasting Kingdom we deny Jesus and his work on the cross and are
denied by the Father our entrance into the Everlasting Kingdom.

The Sovereignty of Man is respected in the many scriptures by the term

“whosoever”. To contend as do some that all things are predestined does not
take into consideration the presumption in the scriptures that all are free and
responsable. See the book “the Rape of ?God”

Chapter 4

Let us trace the Antichrist Spirit from the Creation.

The Serpent beguiled through subtlety and corrupted the simplicity of

Christ

This book is really about how that the fear of Paul expressed in 2 Cor. 11 has
come to pass. "I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his
subtlety, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity of Christ." We
have been removed from the simplicity of the gospel. Our whole civilization has
for many centuries been beguiled by his subtlety in the same way as was Eve by
Satan. [I was able to see it only after many years of looking at what were
discrepancies in our doctrine and the Word of God. Many times I would lay this
doubt aside, as I looked at history and the confidence that I saw in others in that
message, and I would leave the matter alone. Only when I came to God and said
that I was willing to preach His full council, notwithstanding what any other man
might think, did these things begin to open to me.] We must extract the poison
root of pagan Greek Philosophy from our concepts about God and his work.

I know that there are many others with this same consecration to preach the
truth, and this will give much light to them. Without doubt others will be very
opposed, as the limitations of the reformation not having gone far enough
become apparent, and they find themselves in disagreement both in experience
and doctrine, locked into relationships that they are unwilling to break to follow
the truth. We have been beguiled by Satan with the same "lifting up" that was
used on Eve. No doubt his tactics have never changed, but we can become
familiar with them. It will be useful to start from the beginning, so that we do not
fall into the trap of mistaking one another for the real enemy, which is Satan.

Understanding the workings of Satan

Brother G. H. Pember gives the introduction to us in his book Mystery Babylon

the Great, pages 6-9. —It would seem that there is some secret power in local
associations, which we are at present unable to understand. For even God has
His Holy City, which He will not give up for ever; His Mount Zion, whereon He
has dwelt and will yet dwell; and His rocky Sinai, from the summit of which he
proclaimed the Law and communed with Moses, while on its cavernous side He
spoke with the greats of the prophets, and probably also gave His charge to the
Apostle of the Gentiles. So, likewise, Satan would seem to have his resort and
centres of government; from the pattern of which, to quote one instance, it may
have been that Apollo was reported to, to spend six months of the year at Delphi
and six at Patar. And, possible, the chief of all those centres may be Babylon.

For, situated on the banks of the Euphrates, it was, probably, hard by Eden the
Garden of the Lord. And near the place where stood the Tree of Life, Satan may
from the very first have planted his Tree of Death; since it is not unlikely that
Babylon was his base of operations when he plotted the fall of man. It must also
have been in the neighborhood, at least, that Cain was goaded to destroy his
brother’s life, and so to become the first of the bloody race of murderers and
defilers of God’s image, of which earth has since brought forth so countless a
multitude. Here too the antediluvian apostasy must have commenced, arising, as
it apparently did, from a worship of the glorious Cherubic forms, which until the
Deluge were still seen through the closed gate of Eden. And yet again; it may
have been on this very spot that the great sin was committed in which angels
took part, and which became the immediate cause of the flood (Intermarriage
Gen. 6:2). Of this we may have a hint in the fact that four rebel angels, and a vast
number of their subordinates, are even now bound at the Euphrates, there to
await the blast of the Sixth Trumpet, when the command shall be given to lose
them and let them go on their errand of destruction.

After the Deluge, we find sin again gravitating to the same spot, which was taken
as a possession by the descendants of Noah’s accursed son. For Cush was the
son of Ham. "And Cush begat Nimrod: he began to be a mighty one in the earth.
He was a mighty hunter before the Lord; wherefore it is said, Even as Nimrod the
mighty hunter before the Lord; and the beginning of his kingdom was Babel, and
Erech and Accad, and Calneh, in the land of Shinar." (Gen. x;8-10)
And from the universal mythology and the sacred books of the East, it would
seem that at this period relations were made to men by the fallen angels; and
that those who received them were formed into a secret Society, in order that the
world might through their means be both taught and ruled by Satan. These
initiates became the depositories of the lie with which the Adversary had planned
to counteract the truth of God. They promulgated the theory, that man originally
proceeded out of the Godhead, and is working his way back to become an
integral part and intelligent part of the same; that to effect this, he needs no
Savior nor helper, but, depending upon himself, must struggle on through various
disciplines and many re-incarnations, until he is made perfect. And this is the
doctrine that underlies every false religion of any importance, and forms its
philosophic or esoteric basis.

Even in early times of which we are speaking it caused a general rebellion

against God; and, affected by its influence wicked and demon-inspired men
attempted to defy His commands, and to unite the whole human race in
opposition to Him. The confusion of tongues followed, accompanied, if we may
trust the Caldean legends, by a terrific manifestation of Divine anger; and the
affrighted rebels moved off in various directions to people the distant parts of the
earth, and carried the Babylonian poison and the false revelations with them.

But the headquarters of the secret society still remained at Babylon, where Satan
seems to have fixed his earthly throne, perhaps for two reasons. The position
was central, having easy access either to the East or the West, and was
therefore, adapted to the purpose of affecting and controlling the world: it was,
moreover, a convenient stronghold from which to molest and counteract the
influence of the place where Jehovah would set His name. And we must not
forget that God seems to have chosen Jerusalem in a very early time. Even in
the days of Abraham, we find Melchizadek established there as a priest of the
Most High. Now the woman (Rev. 17) probably represents the great Society,
formed to teach and rule the world, which takes its name from Babylon the place
of its birth. We can, therefore, easily understand that, if its seat were transferred
to another city, that city might naturally be called Mystery Babylon.

But until God had given up Jerusalem, Babylon seems to have continued to be
the centre of wickedness upon the earth. There, as we have seen, the great
postdiluvian apostasy arose, that apostasy which, after having been in some
measure checked by God’s action Old Testament times, and, again,
counteracted by Christianity, is once more recovering its ground gathering to
itself all else that is of Satan, and spreading West as well as East under such
names as Spiritualism or Buddhism, There, too, was the seat of the first of the
oppressive world-powers; and, although the second seemed to be somewhat
inimical to the Chaldean Society, yet the third would have renewed its power. For
Alexander, had he lived intended to make Babylon again the capital of the world,
and doubtless at the same time to restore the influence of the Chaldean wise
men, to whom he paid the greatest deference.
This however was not Satan’s plan: the Adversary probably knew that
opportunity must soon be afforded to another of the races of men to show, in its
turn whether it was able to rule the world in equity; and, therefore, that centre of
Gentile power must still be shifted, and the fourth and greatest empire have its
seat in the West. Accordingly, during the times of the Greek supremacy he kept
the headquarters of the Society still at Pergamum, whither it had been removed
upon the capture of Babylon by Cyrus. But at the death of Attalus III (133 B. C.)
the royal priesthood was bequeathed to Rome, and had to remain for some time
in abeyance, since no citizen of the Republic could fulfill conditions which
required a travesty of Him who "shall be Priest upon his Throne."

At length however, Julius Caesar, who had previously accepted the office of
Pontifex Maximus, solved the difficulty by constituting himself Emperor. He thus
became the first Roman in whom the powers of the Pontifex and the Imperator
were combined, and was, probably, the first to be recognized as head of the
Oriental Priesthood-the Roman Pontificate having previously been distinct from
and inferior to the Chaldean, with which it was thenceforth identified. He was,
consequently, declared to be divine, and exercised a wonderful influence over his
army and the people, even going to the length of openly prescribing to the latter
for who, they would vote (Sueton: Jul. Cæs. xli.). And, lastly, he corrected the
calendar, and changed times by inserting two additional months, in accordance
with the Pontifical prerogative which gave him his title of King of the Ages. The
power which he had acquired descended to his successors: so that, "in the
statues of emperors, the ring is always engraved with the figure of lituus- or
croisier- to indicate the highest quality of the imperaltorial rank, that of Pontifex
Maximus."

Thus the Babylonian caste settled itself in Rome, and manipulated first the
Empire and then the Harlot Church. And so Rome became Mystery Babylon,
because the headquarters of the Babylonian caste was transferred to her.

The environment in which Greek Philosophy was born

With this brief commentary on ancient history by G. H. Pember I would like for us
to look at a documented area of the development of the Greek environment. It is
necessary to understand something of the atmosphere that Socrates lived in to
understand the origin of the Platonic philosophy.

In the Ensayo de un Diccionario Mitológico Universal by Federico Carlos Sainz

de Robles 7we read There are two kinds of religion: those of the Book revealed
and those devised from Nature. The Jews and Moslems profess the first and the
Eastern and the Greek the second. The first rites from the Book root whose
growth proceeds from the prophets who make comments that proceed from the
sacred scriptures, they have only one God who is jealous and will tolerate no
other outside of their temple, the second proceeds from the poets and are the
great universal world current, and their temples open to every idea that has a
form of divinity.

Twelve gods made up the list of the most popular ones, the name in parenthesis
is the Roman name for the god. Zeus (Jupiter) the supreme god whose symbol
was the eagle, Hera (Juno) the wife of Zeus, Poseidon (Neptune) god of the sea,
Apollo (Febo) the god that illuminated the intelligence, Athena (Minerva) goddess
of wisdom and chastity, Aphrodite (Venus) goddess of love and sensuality, Aries
(Mars) god of war, Hephaestus (Vulcan) god of useful arts, Hestia (Vesta)
goddess of domestic virtues, Demeter (Ceres) goddess of fruitfulness, Artemis
(Diana) goddess of the hunt and sister of Zeus, Hermes (Mercury) god of
eloquence and commerce. There were others on the same category, Hades
(Pluto) god of the regions of hell, Dionysus (Bacchus) god of wine and music,
Aesculapius (Esculapus) god of medicine, Leto (Letona) Zeus’ lover and mother
of Apollo and Artimis, Proserpina (Persephone) goddess of the subterranean
world, Eos (Aurora) and Hercules, Clotho one of the three Fates representing
past, present and future, she spins the thread of destiny, Lachesis, the Fate who
tells Atropos when to cut the thread of life..

After centuries the chaos was coordinated. The universe was divided into three
kingdoms, the heavens and earth presided over by Jupiter, the sea presided over
by Neptune, the subterranean hells presided over by Pluto although Neptune and
Pluto were subordinated to Jupiter. The gods were everywhere even though they
could never be seen. They made sacrifices to the gods of holidays, games,
temples, and altars, not because they loved them but out of fear because they
felt they had to do it to keep them from doing them harm.

Prometheus took the opportunity of robbing the heavenly fire to give to his
creatures that he had created. Jupiter, the father of the gods, sent forth his
vengeance in a curse. He had Vulcan form a super perfect body of a woman who
became Minerva gave her a very elegant belt, her ear rings were grace and
persuasion. Mercury gave her the art of lying and seduction. Venus gave her the
infinite attraction of sex. She was called Pandora. She was given to the brother of
Promethium, Epimeteo (the imprudent) and against his brothers advice he took
her as a gift. She had a box and when it was opened all of the evils came out of
it, and scattered over the world. This woman ruined humanity condemning with
all of her attractiveness the man to have to work. Without theology or
metaphysics the origin of evil was thus explained for the Greeks. From imitating
the envy of the gods was copied the idea of banishment which was used against
the rich or the celebrated.

The ancient man could never get the terrible fear out of his heart for the goddess
Nemesis, who, with out compassion worked the most pathetic and horrible
things. The crime of Titan was that he had loved humans. The immense pain that
Niobe suffered was without showing weakness to see her sons cruelly pierced
and killed from the arrows shot by Letona for the crime of being proud of their
human nature.

The Greeks did not have any sacred book or priests specialized in the
explanation of their religion to conserve their tradition. They were totally victims
of the superstition of the popular imagination and forty two grades of poets.
Around about Olympus was supposedly invisibly populated by the semi-gods and
the heroes. They were from the carnal union of a goddess and a man, or of a god
and a woman. It was not permitted to make sacrifices or offerings to these but it
was permitted to pray to them and to give them funeral honors. The names of
some of them have come down to us as Atlas, Hercules, Jason and the some of
the heroes were Nestor, Ulysses, Ajax and Aquilles. These semi-gods were
genius’s who taught and watched out after the ones who worshipped them
helping them when in need and giving them dreams of the future. The heroes
interceded for those who worshipped them and from them come the custom of
the Roman Catholic’s whom have received the tradition of the worship of the
saints. The miraculous appearances of these semi-gods and heroes to humans
were as frequent as the appearance of the "saints" during the middle ages. The
sign of friendship between two cities was to participate and honor the same semi
god or Hero.

The divine omnipotence was a confused idea with the Greeks that was separated
from identification with any god. In fact the gods were sometimes subject to this
power. Over all of these most powerful gods of Mount Olympus including Jupiter
there ruled a mysterious god who was stronger than all. He was a god without
life, myth, figure or altar, he was called Destiny, Providence, Fortune, Cronos or
Chance. Apollo could do nothing for Hector because destiny had his days
numbered. Jupiter was powerless as he contemplated the beating of his son
Sarpedon by Patroclo. The gods were all powerless before the force of Destiny
who knocked down their loved ones, it is the immutable force of nature that
assists our funerals. The myth made the three goddess’ called Parcae the
unrelenting executors of the intentions of the god of destiny. They played with the
threads of life of everyone and cut the thread with their scissors upon receiving
the order. Out of this order of things Plato and Aristotle developed the idea of a
god that was over all of the gods. Hesiodes is very explicit about where evil came
from among men. It came from the envy of the gods. The gods were envious one
of another but also envious of men.

Homer the poet thought that it was the demons, other world beings, they were
another order from those mentioned who were without hierarchy among the gods
but participated in the divine nature. Hesiodes believed that the demons were
real persons, perhaps men, from the Golden age that managed to become
immortal and were in number three times ten thousand, and roamed the earth
covered by a cloud. Jupiter made them guardians of justice. In this sense Jupiter
could be called the good demon without there being any paradox in doing so.
The concept of demons being evil came from philosophers of a later time.
How the worship of demons replaced the worship of God

To all of these religions there was added the domestic which was perhaps the
most jealously kept. In Plato’s book Laws he assures us that parenthood was
made possible from the work of the domestic gods. The great fear of a definite
death or annihilation caused the ancients to think that they began another
existence after death without a body. The union with which one was tied to the
body had loosened but not broken at death. They could return and walk where
they had lived as well as be in the flowery fields (covered with their funeral flower
asphodelf from which we get the word daffodil) which was their vision of
paradise. This allowed Aquiles to rule the shadows while his ashes were in its
tomb near Troy and Ulysses saw Hercules in the fires of hell knowing that he was
converted into a god and dwelt on the Olimpus mountain. Thus the worship of
demons replaced the worship of God.

The people loved their dead and this love was what made the firm foundation of
their domestic gods. Every family honored their ashes and felt that the other half
in spirit form was invisibly present wondering around their home.

The Greeks knew two kinds of death. One in which the funeral rites were were
practiced and the other where there were none. The criminals and others who
died violent deaths and their bodies were left to be eaten by the birds and
animals were thought to be wondering evil shadows around the home. The loved
ones who died and were accompanied in the burial ceremony were to be
constantly in protection of those that had been left behind and responded to
petitions for help and advice.

Plato respected this concept of believing that there were protecting demons and
assured that without doubt the souls of the dead had some part in human affairs.

The annual anniversary day of the dead (modern day Halloween) was the
external sign of this worship but it was this intimate worship offered every hour
that made it so important. In every home day and night the little flame taken from
the divine flame at the temple was to be burning as the same that was stolen
from the heavens by Prometheus.

The Sacred Flame and the Asylum system

This sacred flame in every home was connected to the virgin goddess Vesta the
oldest sister of Jupiter. The image, the person and the flame were confused and
were the same before which there could be no words which were not known to
her nor actions committed that she did not see; to her was attributed
omniscience. The person who did not practice this devotion could not have the
rights to public office. In the same way all of the homes were considered a family
which practiced its devotion at the central home which was Delphi and served for
all the nation. The home had also another major right, the altar of Vesta was an
inviolate refuge. The loser, the wronged came to this altar where no sword of the
winner could be used nor the brutality of the conqueror practiced. Your arms will
not protect you but this altar will protect us all declared Hecuba to Priam. (This
right of asylum is still insisted on by Roman Catholics.) The home and the tomb
were the centers of the domestic religious practice.

In the religion of Greece, without doubt there were morals. It was not just
external, that consisted in keeping the rituals. Strange case! The Gods full of
vices, vengeance, cruelty, What morality could they give in example to mortals?
Once again the human did better than the gods. And if these never tried to be
moral or give a moral example, a happy contradiction, men attributed to the gods
that they would have the great virtue of administering justice justly. If the men
considered that the gods watched over the fulfilling of sacred vows and protected
the asylum of their altars. Fortunately the Greek morals were born in the heart of
the men and not from the power of their gods. Hesíodo in The works and the
days revealed a very pure morality, where the vices were chastised and the good
rewarded but only in this world. Pindaro deforms the morales of the future life in
that the Camps of Elysium are opened only to the powerful and the conquerors,
with no regard for the ordinary and good man. When the poets speak of the
morals of the gods it is that they are very immoral, for to punish the crime
committed by one they punish not only the criminal but his sons, grandsons and
the whole race. Abusing the morales in the strictest sense. (Remember this in the
discussion of original sin.)

Worship was made in hope of protection from evil spirits

The origin of the public worship of the Greeks was the hope of protection from
the spirits of the gods. They sought to appease their gods with prayers, offerings,
vows and sacrifices. The odor of the burning flesh was a nice perfume to the
gods, and the death of the sacrificed was pointing to the repentance of the
sinner. The most solemn was the hecatomb, the slaughter of a great number of
animals for instance 100 oxen. The poor man offered figures of clay which was
considered the same by the gods. To come close to the altar, it was necessary to
have been purified by washing with water as a symbol of moral purification.
There was a priest at the door that poured the sacred water on their hands and
their heads as they entered. This custom was added to by obligating the
confession of the sins to the priest in Delphi where the priest’s of Apollo were the
only ones who could hear it.
The security that the gods born on earth were constantly in touch with men was
the custom of the revelations known as oracles. By the mouth of the priests and
priestess’ the gods spoke and prophesied and set forth the terms of the
atonement. At other times the will of the gods could be known or manifested by
visible signs; such as the flight of the birds, the sound of the air, the intestines of
the victims, the direction of the smoke or flame, by lightning, and in the dreams
that Jupiter sent. The mediums interpreted the occult, the priests presumed that it
was the gods who spoke. There was therefore a continuous dialog between
heaven and earth, the Greeks believed in the oracles they had an on going
permanent revelation of the will of God. They never saw man as rebellious,
everything was always the fault of the gods.

The festivals of Bacchus (debauchery) or Dionysus were three in number. The

first Anesterias lasted three consecutive days known as, the Pitegio was the
festival to open the wine skins, the Choes was the festival of drinking in
community, the chytres was the offering.

The second was called Leneas and are supposed to be commemoration of the
first winepress. The third was the Grand Dionisius that lasted many days and
consisted in various ceremonies. The procession, the concourse dithyrambic of
poems and hymns, the comate (comatose, everyone dead drunk), and the
dramatic representations.

The priests and priestess’ of every layer of worship worked in the time of their
festivals but did not consist of a separate class as in India, but these tasks were
transmitted by inheritance, were purchased or given by casting lots. They
dedicated themselves to the rites and the divination or soothsaying. This was
practiced in the oracles which were revealed directly or by the movement of
clouds, smoke from the animals that were sacrificed, their intestines or flames.
The purification of the faithful was by water (salty water was considered better
than the sweet from which we have Holy water) The sound of bronze was
considered purifying. With the boisterous sound of the bells the devils were
scared off from Selene (the moon) in the middle of the night. (The vigorous bell
ringing in our day comes from this.)

Federico Carlos Sainz de Robles continues to speak of how that the native
religion of Italy was influenced and replaced by the Greek. By way of Cumas the
worship of Apollo came to Rome and soon Apollo became the most popular of
the gods for whom was built a temple and from here the oracle became famous
in the city. The rich Romans preferred to come to the oracle of Apollo. According
to the Romans, Juno had sexual relations with Jupiter, had a son who was call
Mars by touching a mysterious flower. Mars seduced Rea Silvia who became the
father of Romulo and Remo who were supposedly the founders of Rome. The
gods Ceres, Liber and Libera formed a trinity of gods who were the names of the
Greek gods Demeter, Dionysus and Cora and in this temple only Greek
priestess’ could celebrate in the Greek language.

The festival of fecundity Liberalia was made to the god Liber-Bacchus The
Greek-Roman paganism revived the Babylonian Astrology which at last caused
the oracles to disappear from public view.

The god Liber-Bacchus and the cult of orgies became so degenerated in secret
reunions where both sexes practiced the most repulsive excesses. One Counsel
of the Senate prohibited them in all of the Roman territories in 86 B.C.

To understand more about the conditions at the times of Socrates we need to

look more closely at the awesome devotion that the patriotic Greek held toward
the Sacred Oracles of Delphi in the temple of Apollo.

The Pagan Priesthood and their rituals of the Mysteries

In commenting on these mysteries Robert Graves in his book8 explains on that

the concept of this pagan priestly system is in the word obscene from the Latin
obscenus which means nefarious, of bad omen, and is formed by the two words
ob which means against and scaene (from the Greek scene) that means a
"theatrical presentation." It gained its second definition of being depraved or
indecent when the theater plays, made in honor of the gods of the mysteries,
began to include scenes of indecent mimicry that offended the gods. Nerón was
famous for his scenic obscenities, which according to him was one of his divine
privileges.

There were two levels of mysteries in these traditions. Only the most aristocratic
or outstanding citizens were admitted to them. The first to the minor mysteries
these never had heavenly visions or the phenomenon of oracle. To come to the
greater mysteries it was necessary to go through a time of testing and selection;

The priesthood was from time of Babel related to the festivals of harvest. Could it
be from the customs of Cain that came in the memory of the customs before the
flood of the sons of Noah? These festivals in the Greek were called the Elysium
Mysteries. They were practiced under the most solemn oaths of secrecy and the
activities in their highest degree have never been discovered nor documented to
their fullest. It should not come as a surprise to us Christians that what they
called the most secret and sacred of the mysteries are practices of the most
abominable kind. After all this priesthood is to triumph over the whole world and
produce the Antichrist who will perform the act that is known as the "abomination
of desolation" according to the words of our Lord Jesus Christ.
The abomination of desolation?

"The Elysium mysteries9, dedicated to the Greek gods were preceded by

fastings and a ritual bathing in the sea where the devotees transferred their sins
to a pig. Latter they entered into the temple and drank mint flavored water and
ate baked figures from baskets. From these secret ingredients they had celestial
visions that could never be forgotten." The swine was sacrificed on the altar after
which the oracles or sacred visions were pronounced as a result of the
hallucinating drugs in the pastries.

The understanding that I have is that something of the same ritual will be
performed by the Antichrist in the temple in the great tribulation period according
to Matthew 24:15-16 "When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation,
spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth let him
understand:) Then let them which be in Judæa flee unto the mountains."

The Elysium mysteries according to the Encyclopedia Universal Europeo

Americano10 Hierophant— an expounder and interpreter of sacred mysteries
(pronounced like the word Peter in Chaldean) which was the maximum leader
the highest priest. The most ancient document about this was found in Moscow
at the end of the 18th century as a poem of Homer to Demeter.

In the first day of the nine day Elysium Festival on the 15th of boedromian all of
the faithful came together, probably in the Pacilo porch. Here the king exhorted
all who had criminal records to withdraw and exhorted to proceed with public
order. After this the Hierophant (High Priest) excluded the foreigners and
murderers and set forth the conditions that the initiates had to fulfill and
recommended the work of the spirits to conserve their hands and souls pure and
that they were to watch their language that they might demonstrate their qualities
as civilized Greeks. They were made to understand the vow of absolute secrecy
to never to reveal the mysteries. On the next day, the 16th they proceeded to the
purification rites of bathing in the sea with the pig to be sacrificed the next day.
On the 17th was celebrated a great public ceremony dedicated to the gods and
prayers were made for the Senate and the people and for the blessing on their
women and children. Representations were received from other nations and
cities. After a public sacrifice they proceeded to the secret and private sacrifices
of the mystical pig. On the 18th they had a public sacrifice with fruit offerings. On
the 19th they had a public sacrifice to Epiduria the god that was killed and
resurrected as Bacchus. That evening there was organized a public procession,
some say it was on the 20th with the image of Cora arriving after midnight
because of the four leagues distance and the ceremonies at many temples. All of
the initiated carried torches and were followed by a great multitude singing
hymns arriving at the Sacred Way, called such because of the number of temples
on it. There were many delays to make sacrifices, to dance, and make
purification’s, and the great crowds slowed everything down. These festivities
were celebrated with great splendor and with a very severe attitude of devotion.
On the 21st a solemn sacrifice was made in the name of the Republic on the
great altar in the center of the sacred Temple in an exclusive and secret
ceremony. They sacrificed a goat, a sheep, and a bull, each to various Gods.
Their festival finished with public games on the 24th. The concourses and games
were practiced every three years and every five years which is what is
understood by the distinguishing term the Mega Elysium. The processions were
reenacting the search for the daughter of Demeter who was held in hell. They
were made with all of the agony and desperation of the loss and at the dawn they
were offered food but refused it and continued in fasting because in the myth the
daughter was freed only when there came a famine on the whole earth which at
last brought about her release, this was all enacted and great euphoria and joy
and feasting finished the session. (Has this been the custom that has brought
forth the processions of good Friday?)

It seems that at this time in the secret recesses they ate the cakes that were the
privilege only of those allowed into the greater mysteries. (Laced with the secret
hallucinating mushroom drugs to bring euphoria)

The lack of respect for these gods and their ceremonies was punished with
death. Diagoras de Melos had committed this crime and was killed and his head
was paraded through the streets.

Robert Graves11 comments that in ancient times paradise was reserved only for
the refined aristocrats, only when the church came were the doors opened for
everyone who was baptized without regard to his social standing. He asks, Why
were the ideas of paradise of a traditional model, in Polynesia, precolombian
Mexico and Eurasia? The evidence is that a common hallucinating drug was
used that caused visions of paradise and mental illumination that was known as
"the highest wisdom". He cites the book "Les Champignones hallucinogènes de
Mexique" (The Hallucinating Mushrooms of Mexico) and calls it a monumental
work by the professors Roger Heim and R. G. Wasson. They have made
experiments and personally participated in rituals with the use of mushrooms
which appear alongside toads, snakes and devils in the pagan rituals. One type
of mushroom called the amanita muscaria, called fly-cap in England that is red
colored with white at the end is used today by the Kojacs which gives a very
tumultuous ecstasy which is used to consult the spirits of their dead and make
prophecies. The Wasson’s discovered that the mushrooms were used in the
same way by the Europeans but were reserved for the priests. The name toad
stool is aptly applied as the same poison called bufonenin that it has, is the same
as is exuded by toads from their wrinkles when they are frightened. In México
there is a mushroom that still is known in the back country as "the body of god".
They participated in Oaxaca in an oracular reunion in which the mushrooms were
taken, and during the ceremony the witch doctor responded to a question with a
response that was unexpected, astonishing and true. They were then also invited
and partook of the mushrooms and from the effects they understood why the
local tradition about the festival was explained as, "One comprehends everything;
even to get to where the Gods live." The rules are common wherever the
communication with the world of the spirits is practiced by the use of mushrooms.
Before they can participate in this ritual they must be in fasting, abstain from
sexual relations, be in peace with everyone. Those who do not obey these rules
will see demonic visions of such magnitude that would wish that they never had
been born.

In what pre Christian religion were the oracles pronounced while the supposed
body of the god was eaten? As we have seen it is part of the ritual of ancient
Greece. After ritualistic washing the day before, and offering the little swine for
their sins they were to be in fasting to eat the baskets of breads backed in the
form of gods. Those who were initiated into the minor Elysium mysteries never
had heavenly visions. Only those who in fasting partook of the bodies of the gods
from the baskets.

Socrates’ world was dominated by oracles

With this information we can begin to see the situation in which Socrates lived.
The whole civilization was dominated by the word of this priesthood of the
greater mysteries as they gave their pronouncements in an ecstasy that was
known as the highest wisdom.

God‘s Supernatural contrasted with Satan‘s

This system is what was known as the Oracles of Delphi, that dominated
everything. It is based on sight and the manipulations of the psyche by
hallucinating drugs. It is the manipulation of Satan imitating the true Spirit of God
that gives the sure word according to 2 Peter 1:19-21 and is based on the true
prophecy in the true worship of God. "We have also a more sure word of
prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in
a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts: Knowing
this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation. For the
prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as
they were moved by the Holy Ghost."

Without doubt the suffocating combination of control of the governors and the
priests through the Oracles of Delphi was chaffing to many. We have not taken
time to quote and show from authorities that the unity of the nation and people,
was argued as the reason that a lack of respect was to be punished even to the
point of death, having your head mounted on a pole and paraded through the
streets. The inquisition started with Cain and will be finished by the Antichrist. It is
a continuous fact of this false religion.
Hebrew Thought Compared to Greek Thought

There are such different points of view on all things between the tradition of the
Bible and the tradition of the tower of Babel that it seems they should be taken
into account as we extract the poison root of Greek Philosophy out of
Christianity. In the book Hebrew Thought Compared with Greek by Thorlief
Boman, Westminsiter Press, in chapters five and six we find a studious contrast.

There are two ways to approach reality and its appearances intellectually and to
grasp them; we call these two ways logical thinking and psychological
understanding. When we think logically we place ourselves objectively and
impersonally outside the matter and ask what is the strict truth about it; when we
would understand a matter psychologically, we familiarize ourselves with it and
through sympathetic pursuit of its development we try to grasp it as a necessity.

In our psychic life, thinking and understanding are inseparable. For example, we
cannot admit the truth of a mathematical proposition without understanding the
argumentation employed in its proof; however when we have understood the
argument, the proposition strikes us as true in itself, its truth is in no way at all
dependent upon us and our act of thinking. We must assert that even if there
were no one who could understand the proof, the truth of the proposition would
undoubtedly still stand. On the other hand, even if we would understand a matter
psychologically, we think more or less unconsciously in accordance with logical
laws of thinking. Without some sort of logic, even though it be primitive, no
understanding is possible. Logical truth, in this case, is not the goal of intellectual
activity but the aid to genuine psychological understanding, as inversely the
psychological acts of thinking were an aid to the discernment of logical truth.

When we speak hereinafter of psychological understanding and logical thinking,

we mean the two different way of thinking by means of which man is able
mentally to appropriate reality; formally speaking they are mutually exclusive, but
speaking materially they are complementary.

It is not difficult to see that Israel’s mental life belongs to the former type and
Greek mental life to the latter.

We are able to appreciate the unitary visual approach of Greek thinking without
further explanation because, on the whole, we think in a similar way; however,
the unitary born of ceaseless always in movement dynamic approach of Hebrew
thinking is not difficult to establish against the background of Greek thinking. The
matter is outlined in bold relief by two characteristic figures; the thinking Socrates
and the praying orthodox Jew. When Socrates was seized by a problem, he
remained immobile for an interminable period of time in deep thought; when Holy
Scripture is read aloud in the synagogue, the Orthodox Jew moves his whole
body ceaselessly in deep devotion and adoration. The Greek most acutely
experiences the world and existence while he stand and reflects, but the Israelite
reaches his zenith in ceaseless movement. Rest, harmony, composure, and self-
control — this is the Greek way; movement, life, deep emotion, and power—this
is the Hebrew way.

Worshiping the Great Almighty I AM

According to the Israelite conception, everything is in eternal movement: God

and man, nature and the world. The totality of existence, ‘ôlam, is time, history,
life. (Note that God as immovable-mover is a contradiction to Hebrew thinking.)
The history of heaven and earth (Gen. 2:4) is of the same form as the history of
Adam (5.1), Noah (6.9), and Shem(11.10); it is referred to in each case by the
same word, tôledhoth. The fact that God created the word and man once and for
all implies that God makes history and brings forth life and the he continues them
until they achieve their goal. All sources of being are in God, who alone is.
However, because, formally speaking, for the Hebrew being is the same as
energy, then he who is, the only true one (Jehovah), is identical with the almighty
creator, the savior, and the world perfecter, a point that Isaiah untiringly
reiterates.

As space was the given thought-form for the Greeks, so for the Hebrews it was
time. Now, as Kant says, time is nothing but the form of inner sense, that is of the
intuition of ourselves and of our inner state. It cannot be a determination of outer
appearances; it has to do neither with shape, nor position, but with the relation of
representations in our inner state. From this it follows that Hebrew thinking
necessarily became psychological, since psychology is concerned with us
ourselves and our inner states and images. Moreover, it was of equal necessity
that Greek thinking should bear the stamp of logic, since logical validity is
constructed externally (objectively), independently of our psychical conditions,
and for the most part it also permits of demonstration by way of diagrams, at any
rate so far as the Greeks evolved it.

For the Hebrew, the decisive reality of the world of experience was the word; for
the Greek it was the thing. Yet the word had great significance for the Greek on
account of its meaning; on the whole, however, the meaning of the word is
independent of the word as a spoken or dynamic reality. Likewise the thing had
great significance for the Hebrew, not because of form, shape, or appearance,
but partly as instrument, i.e. as a means of action, and partly because of its
inherent meaning. (cf. The song of Solomon). In the Hebrew environment the
thing was conceived as a dynamic reality, to the extent that it was an instrument,
and as a qualitative unit defined by its content, as the Song of Solomon
demonstrates.

From these last arguments, as well as from those before, we can conclude that
for the Hebrew the most important of his senses for the experience of truth was
his hearing (as well as various kinds of feeling), but for the Greek it had to be his
sight; or perhaps inversely, because the Greeks were organized in a
predominantly visual way and the Hebrews in a predominantly auditory way,
each people’s conception of truth was formed in increasingly different ways. The
impressions gained by way of hearing or perceived sensually —are thinking of
word, light, warmth, odor, flavor, and so on— have the three aforementioned
specifically Hebraic characteristics: they are constantly changing, they are of a
dynamic-qualitative sort because they can be expressed in all degrees of
intensity and in varying qualities, and they are psychologically meaningful
because they can awake every possible mood or feeling. The impressions we
gain through sight, the visible things, are static in principle because the eye acts
as a camera, and as everyone knows, it can record only momentary or
instantaneous pictures, that is to say pictures in which movement is at the time
so imperceptible as not to be observed. If we observe a body in motion, our eyes
follow it so that we retain a relatively static and at the same time, clear picture of
it. When these two conditions are absent, it is impossible clearly to recognize
movement as, for example, when we sit in a moving train and another one
passes by in the opposite direction. In such a case we can neither see the
background of the other train nor establish by perception whether or not we are
moving. Perception of a moving object takes place at the expense of the clarity of
its background which seems vague if we notice it the same time. Sight
impressions must, therefore, chiefly be based upon those images which have
form, objectivity, and immutability.—

From Boman I make the observation that these points of view bring the Greeks to
the unmoved-mover, the unfeeling god of destiny of Aristotle that is not
compatible with the dynamic interacting Jehovah of the Christ and his anointed
followers. The followers of Jesus and the scriptures truly inspired by the Holy
Spirit with concrete prophecies and the prohibition of believing anyone who was
wrong, on even one point of his prophecy, has brought about the confrontation
between what are called fundamentalists who insist on the veracity of the word of
God and the so called ecumenical stream of the priesthood authority with nothing
but traditions, which could be founded on customs that have been born out of the
oracles which as we have seen are inspired by Satan.

It can be seen from these contrasts two systems with extremely supernatural
aspects, the Antichrist system and that of the God of Abraham.

Chapter 5

The pagan religious root is communion with demons.

The Greeks wrote down the thousands of years old concepts of paganism. In
Eudemeia Aristotle accepts the concept of Plato that this life brings about an
amnesia of the things that happened in the preexistence before birth. Eudemo
was sick and had a prophetic dream that announced his healing, the death of a
dictator and the return to his country. He received the first two but while awaiting
the return to his home he was killed in battle by which it was indicated that the
true home was is the other world not this one. From this account Aristotle
demonstrates the mental depression of paganism and discusses the immortality
of men and their memory of all things after death in the other world. He declares
that life without the body is the natural state of the soul and the soul in the body
is unnatural and a kind of sickness. He believes, "That since man cannot
participate in that which is the true reality while in the body, it is better to not have
been born, and since we have been born it is better to die as soon as possible."
Here we have the degradation of paganism in depreciation of the body, and the
dual concept of man instead of the unity of soul spirit and body. (Dual in the
sense that the body is degraded mortified or even debauched while on the other
hand the spirit is thought to be elevated and holy. The Christian concept is the
consecration of the body, spirit and soul to the will of the Creator as a person.
That life, the earth and all the fullness thereof is a blessing: everything was made
very good.) 15 ¶ Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep’s
clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves. Ye shall know them by their
fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles? Even so every good
tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit. A good
tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither [can] a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.
Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.
Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them. Jesus

Jesus denies the idea of the spirit being pure while one does the works of the
flesh. Those who accept this concept know nothing of the abiding in Jesus in the
true vine.

Is the Body a prison for the soul?

The pagan concept is that the body is as a prison to the soul. At death the soul
free at last goes soaring all the way up to God and visits at will all of the spirit
world. After a time the former life comes to mind. In this nostalgia the soul comes
back by to visit their former remains and their former family and acquaintances.
Because of this belief the ashes or bones of relatives were carefully honored in a
special place in the home. Since the time of the visit was unknown fresh flowers
were placed there and a candle was burning to signify the intention to attend in
every way the spirits at the moment they came by although it was impossible to
always be at this place.

This is the concept of the Greek and Roman Catholic Saints. In the biographical
films about the famous Saints they sometimes finish with notations about the
remains. Such as the little finger of the left hand is in such and such a church.
The right arm is in such and such a church. The body resides at such and such a
church. The concept is that the soul of this person will visit there because their
remains are there. In the case of very famous and miracle working saints there
are not enough remains to satisfy the demand. Likenesses are made and are
blessed by the priest. Surely, the soul of the person will visit this also, it is
believed. The root of all idolatry is that the spirits of the departed dead can be
communicated with and that they are attracted to their image. A priest exclaimed:
We do not think that there is anything in the plaster, we are looking to the person.

According to Canon Law #1237 the mass must be made on a consecrated altar.
This consists in a ritual that can be done only by a Bishop in which a small
portion of the remains of a Martyr or a Saint are given a ceremonial all night
funeral and placed in the altar with cement under a little lid that is in the top of a
niche and falls in the center under where the chalice is used for the mass. In
case of a mass in other locations there is a small block of marble which is
encased in a linen bag. This is placed under the table cloth of the table for the
mass. The mass is not a legal mass if it does not have a consecrated altar.

All of these ideas are centered in the pagan concept of the roaming soul of the
departed dead. It is also founded in the concept of consulting with the dead. This
is all rooted in the pagan concept of the spiritual world. About this the God of
Abraham says in Deut. 18. "When thou art come into the land which the LORD
thy God giveth thee, thou shalt not learn to do after the abominations of those
nations. There shall not be found among you… a consulter with familiar spirits, or
a wizard, or a necromancer (one who consults with the dead). For all that do
these things are an abomination unto the LORD: and because of these
abominations the LORD thy God doth drive them out from before thee." An
abomination before the Lord means that it makes God feel like vomiting to see
someone to whom He is speaking personally try to bypass His personal call and
seek to speak with the spirits of depart souls who are not in any sense divine.
This rebellion against God is so dangerous because The dead are awaiting
judgment as the Bible says in Heb. 9 "…it is appointed unto men once to die, but
after this the judgment…" Those who supernaturally respond pretending to be
the departed souls are the voice of demons. Paul says in 1 Cor. 10:20 "But I say,
that the things which the Gentiles sacrifice, they sacrifice to devils, and not to
God: and I would not that ye should have fellowship with devils. Ye cannot drink
the cup of the Lord, and the cup of devils: ye cannot be partakers of the Lord’s
table, and of the table of devils."

Christianity is founded on another concept of the one and only God of Abraham.
All others are products of the imagination or demons. Notice how the God of
Abraham speaks personally to every one in the world. "Now the LORD had said
unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy
father’s house, unto a land that I will shew thee: and I will make of thee a great
nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a
blessing: and I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee:
and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed. So Abram departed, as the
LORD had spoken unto him…" Just as he also spoke to Noah "And God said
unto Noah, The end of all flesh is come before me; for the earth is filled with
violence through them; and, behold, I will destroy them with the earth. Make thee
an ark…" So God is speaking to the inner man of everyone on earth just as he
did to all those in the Bible. We call it conscience.

Children are so gracious for they have not rebelled directly against the voice of
God. As we all sin and do this we feel that this voice of God is against us and our
enemy. Men leave their job and rent the most exciting video and yet the voice is
so loud. You have been so unprincipled, you have been so low down, you could
die before morning. They turn off the video and go to a bar and drink themselves
to exhaustion, trying to get some rest. Multitudes harden their hearts in this
manner until they die and go to hell and the lake of fire forever.

Jesus told us of the Prodigal Son who just as we have done rebelled against
everything. As he had more experience and as he found himself in a terrible state
"he came to himself" I said I will return to my fathers house and be the lowest
servant.

Just as any one of us if and when we come to God and say: "It is true I am
terrible, you know God all that I have ever done. I have nothing to recommend
me. I only dare to come because Jesus died for me. You know my devious heart,
my dirty mind, my weakness, for I cannot resist the temptations to go along with
my friends in sin, my whole life as it is all in a mess, I would like to be part of your
eternal kingdom but for me it is impossible for I am totally unworthy. If I am to
serve you, you must give me the strength, You must clean up my dirty mind, you
must take my rebellion away from me. You must let know your voice for I do not
trust in any man. If you do, I will die for you as you lead me. Lord not my will but
thine be done.

As with our whole heart we come to the Father by Jesus in complete

dependence on His strength being imparted to us, we become part of the new
covenant just for we become one with Jesus in declaring "not my will but thine be
done". The Spirit who we felt was our enemy now becomes wondrously sweet.
Psa. 63 "Thy lovingkindness is better than life". We exclaim from our heart, Oh, I
can do nothing without you. I just want to do your works Heavenly Father, even if
it costs me my life for you are more precious than life to me. "The Spirit itself
beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God…" Rom. 8 "There
is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk
not after the flesh, but after the Spirit." We then can begin to walk in after the
Spirit. All who do so are my Brother or Sister. The pure Shekinah glory that was
over the Arc of the Covenant now abides in my heart. "The fruit of the Spirit is
love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness,
temperance." All who resist full surrender to the voice of God in their hearts until
death are unfit for the eternal kingdom and will be cast into the lake of fire
forever. Better never to have been born.

The Moral conditions in our day

"The soul that sinneth, it shall die." Ezekiel 18:4

Moral conditions in our days are worse than the days of Martin Luther. After
Luther once found salvation and was justified by faith, his heart was caused to
burn within him by the Holy Spirit as he saw men were buying indulgences for
adultery, stealing, and all types of sins after or even before they had committed
them. Their sin was considered unimportant for they had a certificate to prove it
from "the church". Luther was aware that in the last 500 years anyone who had
opposed "the church" was tortured and publicly burned to death. Yet the Holy
Spirit insisted that he had to announce to all that "The soul that sinneth, it shall
die." and he nailed the 95 theses to the door of his church challenging all comers
to prove that he was wrong.

Our situation today is worse than then and the same thing must be done. This
document is the equivalent of the 95 thesis for our day. The people in that day
had to admit their sin and buy the certificate of absolution. Now for the greater
part of evangelicals who have been taught the grace plus nothing doctrine, even
this is unnecessary. Our seminaries have taught us for centuries that God
foresaw from all eternity all who would be saved and every small detail of their
lives including all the sins that would be committed from the foundation of the
world. This doctrine is believed and taught by our most sincere and dedicated
bible teachers such as Chuck Swindal and John McArther among multitudes of
others. For centuries our Seminaries have taught us that God foresaw the sins
that would be committed before we were saved and also the sins that would be
committed after we were saved. It is taught that we are saved by Grace plus
nothing. The message in our churches is that there is no problem, all sins have
been forgiven past present and future, we have been freed from buying
indulgences, by the reformation. Our evangelical congregations are filled with sin.
But the Bible, the Word of God is being ignored. "The soul that sinneth, it shall
die." Multitudes have found this to be true as they have gone into eternity and
fallen into hell. They are filled with consternation, and remorse in Hell.
Vengeance has free unlimited application in Hell. They are saying just let us get
our hands on our pastor who failed to warn us. Pastors are being, and will
continue to be hunted down for eternity by the multitudes who have been misled.

Do all Christians Sin every Day?

Sin is considered lightly and little distinction is made between temptation and sin.
It is declared that we all sin every day. When it should only say, we are all
tempted every day. To King Saul, Samuel said, "Hath the LORD as great delight
in burnt offerings and sacrifices, as in obeying the voice of the LORD? Behold, to
obey is better than sacrifice, and to hearken than the fat of rams. For rebellion is
as the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry. Because
thou hast rejected the word of the LORD, he hath also rejected thee from being
king. And Saul said unto Samuel, I have sinned… " Sin is rebellion against
God. I Sam. 15:23. Now God created man a little lower than the angels because
the angels were able to look on the face of God. Because of this when they
rebelled in sin against God there was no way to restore them and they were
forever lost without any redemption possible. We cannot see the literal throne of
God. When we sin we have a time of probation to decide and come to God as
our Creator, confess our rebellion and admit our inability to even approach Him
on our own merits only by the mediation of Jesus the Savior. If we come to Him,
relying on the finished work of Jesus and we ask that he give us his forgiveness
and his strength to use the time we have left for the purposes that he has
planned for us, we will with His help quit all our rebellion. We come into the
covenant relationship in which we return the reaching out of God to us by
reaching out to Him, constantly seeking to find and do the works and will of the
Father with out reservation and God abides with us in our hearts. This abiding is
the definition of the grace that saves. Nothing can keep us from being saved for
his Spirit is given without measure to all who are fully yielded to Him. "For he
whom God hath sent speaketh the words of God: for God giveth not the Spirit by
measure unto him." Jn. 3:34 We will find it necessary to suffer the same reproach
from the rebels in this world as our Lord Jesus did, being made faithful by his
power until death, even martyrdom.

God created man to populate his eternal Kingdom in the New Jerusalem. The
glory of the kingdom had to be much more than the ornamentation, than in the
streets of iridescent gold. It had to be in the quality of the subjects who populated
it. They had to have freedom and the power to exercise private initiative,
innovation and free will. For God to create this glorious kingdom, to have the
subjects with this dynamic autonomy, God the Son had to decide to come and
die at the hands of rebellious men before the creation of man. He placed man
over all the world to subdue it, to sow and to reap. He then declared that man
was His crop or his flock. "O come, let us worship and bow down: let us kneel
before the LORD our maker. For he is our God; and we are the people of his
pasture, and the sheep of his hand." Ps. 95:6-7 With the motive of love he
created us and awaits our choice to come in "poorness of Spirit" that is to say in
repentance and faith to serve him.

If when we die we are in rebellion against our Creator we are chaff to be burned
eternally. If we have broken our rebellion and have come to Him in repentance,
His spirit dwells with us without measure and by this walk in the Spirit we
overcome all rebellion and sin.

Let us look at the unreformed definition of Grace by the reformers.

The reformers applied what had been the supposed use of God's metaphysical
powers to change the host into the body of Jesus to a metaphysical power that
transformed the heart of the person to be elect from all eternity into one who is
positionally saved by a sovereign act of God. Man has no part in this. He might
be transformed while in a stupor or in a fit of anger. The same control of the
fallen angels over the system has prevailed. Grace is an unmerited favor they
say. They say nothing about a clear conscience before God. Paul preached a
grace that involved the personal communion with God without hindrances of any
resistance or lack of consecration, without any rebellion of any kind to the will of
God. This, as we point out, brings the precious abiding in the vine spoken of by
our Savior. Paul expressed it in Acts 23:1 "And Paul, earnestly beholding the
council, said, Men and brethren, I have lived in all good conscience before God
until this day." We are saved by Grace through faith as expressed by Paul as we
walk in communion with our Lord this is the true definition of grace. It is called
coming out of darkness into light as one leaves his independence and resisting
God speaking to him in his conscience and become totally dependent upon God
searching for the will and strength of God with all of his heart. That is living in the
true grace that saves.

Theologians who have never surrendered and have continued in sin have looking
at God as a philosophy felling proudly sufficient to define and make God
according to their rebellious intellect have not been able to see the Kingdom of
God. Jesus said, 3 Jesus…said… Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be
born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. Since they have never been out
of rebellion in their hearts against and continued in sin they have not even been
able to understand what they are about but have been instruments of the world
system of prestige based on the sorcery concepts of Plato. Of course this places
them in the position of becoming part of the world ecumenical religious system
and they can never hope to be saved in this condition. In their hearts since they
have never been converted are the enemies of God, even though they are sure
in themselves that they are highly trained professional clergy.. The are worse
than the satanic cults for they appear to be the highest representatives of God to
their followers. They are thus the greatest enemies of God. Many commit the
unpardonable sin. Do not be surprised at their fruits in the as they will be our
hammers to do us in, at the times of the great tribulation.

The Unpardonable Sin

"Wherefore I say unto you, All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven
unto men: but the blasphemy against the Holy Ghost shall not be forgiven unto
men… whosoever speaketh against the Holy Ghost, it shall not be forgiven him,
neither in this world, neither in the world to come." Math. 12 "… If any man see
his brother sin a sin which is not unto death, he shall ask, and he shall give him
life for them that sin not unto death. There is a sin unto death: I do not say that
he shall pray for it." I Jn 5

What a terrible thing to become unpardonable, for it is written of them,—"…the

smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest
day nor night…" It is the strongest possible statement about the responsibility of
every man before the Creator. God is sovereign and can do anything that he
wants. Demonstrating the heart of a father, He decided before the creation of
man and angels to make an Everlasting Kingdom that will be forever growing. To
make it the most dynamic possible he chose to make every creature similar to
Himself with free will. The sovereign God created sovereign man just as He had
created the angels. The golden streets are not the principal feature of the
Everlasting Kingdom, but it is the quality and capacity of the subjects who abide
there. God in deciding to limit Himself to bringing in the Kingdom, demonstrates
the moral character described to the Almighty: "Holy, Holy, Holy". This means
that God has taken responsibility for His creation. To have this priceless quality
of free will in His Kingdom He determined to influence as strongly as possible
without infringing on their liberty. He decided from the foundation of the world to
come and take on man’s condition, and humiliate Himself to the death on the
cross, to illustrate the "poorness of spirit", the dependence which will bring the
eternal cooperation of all participants in it, that it is necessary to be a participant
in this Kingdom.

True faith and true believing

True faith and true believing represents this full surrender of man’s will to the will
of God. No doubt if Jesus would have overthrown the Roman Empire and moved
the capital of the world to Jerusalem the Jews would have believed on Him.

This however, would have would have made them more proud and would have
worked against this principal purpose of calling free creatures to the same
submission to the eternal fellowship in His Everlasting Kingdom that is
represented by His own Holiness and manifested by Jesus on the cross.

The Inner Man

Man was created free and a little lower than the angels. The angels look upon
the throne of God and on God’s face. Rebellion or sin against God with this clear
insight has no redemption. Man is spiritual and physical, with flesh. The inner
man is spiritual and known as the soul. The body dies but the inner man
continues intact with all of his faculties. He can be found under the altar of God in
heaven or in the lowest hell after death with his identity, being known as he was
known, in the company of others. There is explained when we understand that
the memory and personality of man lies in his inner man and perhaps is
connected at the brain to the body.

The great truth about God is that he is sitting on His throne or moving about at
His will, being physically present in only one place a time, which is illustrated by
his conversations, with Adam, Eve, Cain, Noah, Abraham, Jacob, Moses, Isaiah,
Ezekiel, and John the Apostle. However, He has a capacity with which He knows
the thoughts and intents of the heart of every one on earth. Jer. 17:9 says: "The
heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it? I the
LORD search the heart, I try the reins, even to give every man according to his
ways, and according to the fruit of his doings." God knows the thoughts and
intents of every heart, of every one on earth and in heaven and in hell. It is
indicated that God strove with the inner man of all who lived before the flood by
his exclamation in Gen. 6 "My spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he
also is flesh…"

God is speaking personally

to everyone

Jesus said of the coming of the Holy Spirit, "And when he is come, he will
reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment," Jesus said that
every man in the world would be reproved of sin by the Holy Spirit. The most
religious the most remote savage, all are with out excuse, for God is speaking to
the inner man of everyone. This voice is known as conscience. The Holy Spirit is
poured out on all flesh according to Joel. Are not children so gracious because
they have not come to an age when they deliberately, knowingly rebel against
God? God is one, in purpose to raise up the Everlasting Kingdom, in three
persons Father, Son and Holy Spirit, all have the same understanding of every
thought and the intention of every heart.
Sin is rebellion against God

Righteousness is working for the good of God, and the good of all men and
angels for all eternity. Sin is working against this righteousness in whatever form,
working for self gratification in the moment and denying the eternal and all
encompassing intention of God and His saints. All of us have used our freedom
selfishly and sinned. Because of our sin and by God’s faithfulness, the constant
voice of the Creator comes speaking to the inner man of each one of us an
accuser and we feel He is an enemy. Many increase their rebellion to the
maximum trying to quiet the voice of God. A man can rent the newest video as
he goes to his abode to rest but the persistent voice of God is so strong; "You
were so crooked, you were so unjust, you might die, you are in rebellion against
your Creator". He turns off the video and goes to a bar and drinks to exhaustion
that he might be able to overcome the voice of conscience and get some sleep.

God awaits our coming to ourselves

As the prodigal son came to himself, so one can surrender all. Responding to the
voice of God one can say, "Yes, I am totally selfish. I have sinned against you
God. I have nothing to recommend me. I come to you God only because of what
Jesus paid for me on the Cross. I cannot resist the temptation to go along with
my rebellious friends, I cannot break nor change my vices and bad habits by
myself. I cannot break this rebellion in me. I ask you to take away the bitterness
and unforgiveness out of my heart for I cannot. If I am going to serve you I
cannot do it by myself. I would like to be part of your eternal kingdom but I am
totally unworthy, I don’t trust in anyone, but if you will allow me to know your
voice so that I can directly follow you, I will follow you even unto death. As we
yield to God unconditionally and fully, our heart is guided by the Holy Spirit to lay
out before God in prayer all of our special rebellions in this way.

At repentance the same Spirit’s accusing voice changes and becomes

lovingkindness

The voice of the Spirit that we considered our enemy, although it is the same, at
repentance becomes precious to us. The Psalm 63 says "Thy lovingkindness is
better than life". The blood of Jesus is not a magic potion, it represents the "not
my will but thine be done" that was the life of Jesus. Jesus also spoke of it in this
way, "And if thine eye offend thee, pluck it out, and cast it from thee: it is better
for thee to enter into life with one eye, rather than having two eyes to be cast into
hell fire."
Walking in the Spirit

The reconciliation that brings about communion with God in our inner man is
known as walking in the spirit. Without this joy and fellowship, no one can leave
off his fascination with sin. The soul that sinneth it shall die. This total
dependence brings the communion with which we can leave off sin and serve
God. This communion or abiding is the true definition of the grace that saves.
Without leaving off sin we cannot be a child of God. All through out the world
there are these born again men and women who walk by the Spirit dispersed
among the religious tares as part of the multitude of rebels. They are the true
church and they are one with God and with each other. It can be seen why this
repentance is indispensable. It brings participation in "the joy unspeakable and
full of glory", the "Shekinah glory" of God’s throne. Tasting this, one wants to
obey in all things to please God and wants to be baptized for all to know that thy
have found this life in Jesus. The heart of stone has been turned to flesh, the law
is written in our hearts.

Offending of the voice

of the Holy Spirit

The unpardonable sin is related to the offending of the voice of the Holy Spirit.
This is true of all if we follow the path described in Romans Chapter one: "…For
the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and
unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness, …because that
which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto
them. Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, …but
became vain in their imaginations, …they became fools …And changed the glory
of the incorruptible God into an image …Wherefore God also gave them up."

Names were blotted out

of the Book of Life

God left them without his voice and conscience. This took place when Israel
made the golden calf. "…the LORD said unto Moses, Whosoever hath sinned
against me, him will I blot out of my book." "…as he said, As I have sworn in my
wrath, if they shall enter into my rest: although the works were finished from the
foundation of the world." Because of their making a golden calf and refusing the
voice of God, their names were blotted out of the book of life and God
abandoned them to die in the wilderness canceling what He had planned for
them from the foundation of the world. They committed the unpardonable sin as
have many today.

Religious leaders just as in the days of Jesus have committed the

unpardonable sin and their father is the devil.

"Because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. And
for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:
That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in
unrighteousness."

Living as the Ox for the slaughter

Perhaps men feel relieved, when the call of God leaves their hearts, for they
have in rebellion attributed the voice of the Holy Spirit to be the voice of Satan
who was accusing them to bring them to salvation. They feel a calmness from
the torment brought by their feeling of impending damnation.

The voice of God has left them and there is no way that one can be saved
without the work and communication of the Holy Spirit.

Multitudes have committed the unpardonable sin. They are described by God to
Isaiah, by Jesus and by Paul "Hear ye indeed, but understand not; and see ye
indeed, but perceive not. Make the heart of this people fat, and make their ears
heavy, and shut their eyes; lest they see with their eyes, and hear with their ears,
and understand with their heart, and convert, and be healed."

They have committed the unpardonable sin. It is the same with those who will
take the mark of the beast. It is of no use to pray for or call these to repentance. I
give you this for the love of your soul. May this message bring you to repentance
for if you continue refusing God you will commit the unpardonable sin and will be
without all hope.

Two Fathers, Two Authorities, Two Altars, Two Ministries

Jesus said, "Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy
soul." There are a great number of people who believe they are all right before
God but who are in reality serving another Supernatural Father which Jesus tells
us is the devil.

"Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He
was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is
no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar,
and the father of it. And because I tell you the truth, ye believe me not. Which of
you convinceth me of sin? And if I say the truth, why do ye not believe me? He
that is of God heareth God’s words: ye therefore hear them not, because ye are
not of God. Then answered the Jews, and said unto him, Say we not well that
thou art a Samaritan, and hast a devil? Jesus answered, I have not a devil; but I
honour my Father, and ye do dishonor me. And I seek not mine own glory: there
is one that seeketh and judgeth."

What are the desires or lusts of Satan as Father?

"…thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne
above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the
sides of the north: I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the
most High." Isaiah 14:14 With great care we must examine our own lives to
identify those who are very religious but who are of their father the devil. Here
are the promised tares that grow in all the world together with the true wheat. The
most confidently religious people on earth were the Jewish leaders of Jesus’ day
that tithed, fasted and refused to touch the unclean world. They were sure that
they were God’s chosen people but were actually deceived and serving another
spiritual father, and were completely convinced that they were worshipping the
Heavenly Father of Abraham.

The ardent desire of Satan was to lift himself up and take the place of God. The
followers of their Father Satan are known by his same characteristics, that is to
say they wish to be lifted up. These followers were breaking the first
commandment. Breaking this commandment makes all things wrong in our lives
and our relationship to God.

Jn. 14:27 <Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world
giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.>

Many religious but Almost no Faith in the End Time

Jesus asked, "…when the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth?"
Luke 18 and he continued to explain this lack of faith with this parable. "And he
spake this parable unto certain men which trusted in themselves that they were
righteous, and despised others: Two men went up into the temple to pray; the
one a Pharisee, and the other a publican. The Pharisee stood and prayed thus
with himself, God, I thank thee, that I am not as other men are, extortioners,
unjust, adulterers, or even as this publican. I fast twice in the week, I give tithes
of all that I possess. And the publican, standing afar off, would not lift up so much
as his eyes unto heaven, but smote upon his breast, saying, God be merciful to
me a sinner. I tell you, this man went down to his house justified rather than the
other: for every one that exalteth himself shall be abased; and he that humbleth
himself shall be exalted."

Notice how that the apparent faith was from another father and another
application of the spiritual laws. He felt that he had a formula that assured
him of God’s attention and his blessings.

Jn. 13:2 And supper being ended, the devil having now put into the heart of
Judas Iscariot, Simon’s son, to betray him;

Mat. 4:1 Then was Jesus led up of the spirit into the wilderness to be tempted of
the devil.

Math. 4:2-10 And when he had fasted forty days and forty nights, he was
afterward an hungred. And when the tempter came to him, he said, If thou be the
Son of God, command that these stones be made bread. But he answered and
said, "It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that
proceedeth out of the mouth of God." Then the devil taketh him up into the holy
city, and setteth him on a pinnacle of the temple, And saith unto him, "If thou be
the Son of God, cast thyself down: for it is written, He shall give his angels
charge concerning thee: and in their hands they shall bear thee up, lest at any
time thou dash thy foot against a stone." Jesus said unto him, "It is written again,
Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God." Again, the devil taketh him up into an
exceeding high mountain, and sheweth him all the kingdoms of the world, and
the glory of them; And saith unto him, "All these things will I give thee, if thou wilt
fall down and worship me." Then saith Jesus unto him, "Get thee hence, Satan:
for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou
serve." Then the devil leaveth him, and, behold, angels came and ministered
unto him.

MAT 13:39 <The enemy that sowed them is the devil; the harvest is the end of
the world; and the reapers are the angels. As therefore the tares are gathered
and burned in the fire; so shall it be in the end of this world. The Son of man shall
send forth his angels, and they shall gather out of his kingdom all things that
offend, and them which do iniquity; And shall cast them into a furnace of fire:
there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth. Then shall the righteous shine forth
as the sun in the kingdom of their Father. Who hath ears to hear, let him hear.
Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed,
into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels:>

Lk 8:12 Those by the way side are they that hear; then cometh the devil, and
taketh away the word out of their hearts, lest they should believe and be saved.

Those by the way side are they that hear; then cometh the devil, and taketh away
the word out of their hearts, lest they should believe and be saved. How God
anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about
doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with
him.

ACT 13:10 And said, O full of all subtilty and all mischief, thou child of the devil,
thou enemy of all righteousness, wilt thou not cease to pervert the right ways of
the Lord? And now, behold, the hand of the Lord is upon thee, and thou shalt be
blind, not seeing the sun for a season. And immediately there fell on him a mist
and a darkness; and he went about seeking some to lead him by the hand.

ACT 13:12 Then the deputy, when he saw what was done, believed, being
astonished at the doctrine of the Lord.

EPH 4:27 Neither give place to the devil.

EPH 6:11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against
the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against
principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world,
against spiritual wickedness in high places. Wherefore take unto you the whole
armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done
all, to stand. Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having
on the breastplate of righteousness; And your feet shod with the preparation of
the gospel of peace; Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be
able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. And take the helmet of salvation,
and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: Praying always with all
prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all
perseverance and supplication for all saints; And for me, that utterance may be
given unto me, that I may open my mouth boldly, to make known the mystery of
the gospel, For which I am an ambassador in bonds: that therein I may speak
boldly, as I ought to speak.

I Tim 3:6 Not a novice, lest being lifted up with pride he fall into the condemnation
of the devil. Moreover he must have a good report of them which are without; lest
he fall into reproach and the snare of the devil. Not a novice, lest being lifted up
with pride he fall into the condemnation of the devil. Moreover he must have a

the devil.
Children of God or Children of the Devil I Juan 3.

Heb 2:14 Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he
also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy
him that had the power of death, that is, the devil; And deliver them who through
fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage.

JUD 1:9 Yet Michael the archangel, when contending with the devil he disputed
about the body of Moses, durst not bring against him a railing accusation, but
said, The Lord rebuke thee.

REV 2:10 Fear none of those things which thou shalt suffer: behold, the devil
shall cast some of you into prison, that ye may be tried; and ye shall have
tribulation ten days: be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of
life.

REV 12:7 And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against
the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels, And prevailed not; neither was
their place found any more in heaven. And the great dragon was cast out, that
old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he
was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.

REV 12:10 And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation,
and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the
accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day
and night. And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of
their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.…Therefore rejoice,
ye heavens, and ye that dwell in them. Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of
the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he
knoweth that he hath but a short time.

REV 20:2 And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil,
and Satan, and bound him a thousand years, And cast him into the bottomless
pit, and shut him up, and set a seal upon him, that he should deceive the nations
no more, till the thousand years should be fulfilled: and after that he must be
loosed a little season.

REV 20:10 And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and
brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented
day and night for ever and ever.

Rev. 20:11-15 And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose
face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them.
And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were
opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead
were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to
their works. And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell
delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man
according to their works. And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is
the second death. And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was
cast into the lake of fire.

The definition of Sorcery

The belief in laws that control spiritual forces, which in turn control the physical
world through the power inherent in spoken words, is the essence of sorcery. In
contrast to the biblical doctrine of grace, this insistence that God Himself must
work even His own miracle within a framework of laws that enables us to tap into
and dispense spiritual power by what we think, speak, or do is the basis for all
ritualism and occultism. When the witch doctor slits the roosters throat, sprinkles
the blood in a certain pattern, and chants a formula, the gods must come through
because they are bound by "spiritual laws" to do so.

Leading occult authority Manly P. Hall explains: Ceremonial magic is the ancient
art of invoking and controlling spirits by a scientific application of certain
formulae. A magician, enveloped in sanctified vestments and carrying a wand
inscribed with hieroglyphic figures, could by the power vested in certain words
and symbols control the invisible inhabitants of the elements and of the astral
world…

By means of the secret processes of ceremonial magic it is possible to contact

these invisible creatures and gain their help in some human undertaking. —Dave

Satan is the father of liars, in Joh 8:44 Jesus says Ye are of [your] father the
devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the
beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he
speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.Liars

doubtful mind Lk 12:29

Domination by principalities and powers and persecution of those who do

not worship

Let it then be established that the darkness over the earth is not because that
God has predestined the moment but that in his foreknowledge has
contemplated the response of each person born on earth to his pleading warning
voice to the inner man. It is foreseen that as in the days of Noah and Sodom
there will come a moment when all men have rejected the dependence on the
Creator and will lean to selfish metaphysical religious feelings and thus the
demons will be in charge of the spiritual atmosphere. A summary of the matter is
in Rev. 19:10 "worship God: for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy."
Does not this say that as the darkness came over the land at the time of the
crucifixion so shall it come in the times of the great tribulation. Jesus had
multitudes at the beginning, then he could do no mighty works because of their
unbelief, then disciples at the last slept for the sorrow as the darkness is called. (
Lk. 22:45 "And when he rose up from prayer, and was come to his disciples, he
found them sleeping for sorrow, and said unto them, Why sleep ye? rise and
pray, lest ye enter into temptation. that was over them.") The darkness that was
around the cross shall be over the earth at the time of the second coming. This is
mentioned in Rev. 16:10 "And the fifth angel poured out his vial upon the seat of
the beast; and his kingdom was full of darkness; and they gnawed their
tongues for pain…" This darkness is because men have not loved the truth. You
dear reader, if you do not love the truth cannot avoid falling into deception. Your
whole appetite is for self. Upon this appetite the false prophets base their appeal.
Read the titles to their works. "How to win friends; How to pray (and get what you
want); How to get what you want; How to overcome your problems; How to have
the Holy Ghost power; How to prosper; How to get the anointing; How to
overcome trials; How to receive a blessing; How to live long; How to escape
death in the tribulation." Selfishness is the root of the false message and so
called Christian psychology. Much about the supernatural will be always
presented but doing the work of the Father without selfishness in complete
obedience with the pure motive of, "not my will but thine be done," is strangely
missing.

Century in century the deception becomes more refined. One of the principal
arguments is that "our belief has been held by many since many centuries". They
know so much about justice, human frailties, and the most minute details in the
Bible. But they do not understand about repentance and the inner Shekinah
glory. The helplessness and full dependence that allows this intimate communion
with God. For them God is out there. Although they speak of intimate
conversation with God; since they have not repented they are in communion with
devils whom they suppose to be God. For this reason they are deceived and
deceiving as is spoken in Gal. 6:7 "Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for
whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap." and in II Tim. 3:13 "But evil
men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived."

Chapter 6

The moment which only God knows has come

"…that he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or

wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish." Eph.
5:27 This shall be brought about as "…nation shall rise against nation, and
kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and
earthquakes, in divers places. …All these are the beginning of sorrows. Then
shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated
of all nations for my name’s sake. And then shall many be offended, and shall
betray one another, and shall hate one another."

Saints shall be turned in by other believers

The false Christians shall betray and hate the true Christians. There is a
tendency among the false Christians to continually lament the divisions in the
body of Christ and urge that all of the divisions should come down. Now we know
as we have clarified that all who walk by the spirit are one in Jesus. But these
wish to silence any criticism of their deception by this argument and also wish to
pave the way for pulling all the Christians they can from the true faith. These
false spots and wrinkles (Jude 1:12) will in the time of the overpowering spiritual
darkness be manifested. They will do the opposite of what they have taught.
They will point out and turn in the brothers who worship only God and must
refuse to worship the beast. In this act these spots will by it be removed from the
true church. There will then begin a still farther refining process in you and I after
we have been betrayed by these brothers. Will we be able to forgive them. Will
there be a grudge that we are unable to place in the hands of the Lord. Under the
pressure even brother will turn in brother. In Mark 13:12 we are told; "Now the
brother shall betray the brother to death, and the father the son; and children
shall rise up against their parents, and shall cause them to be put to death." The
peace of God leaves our hearts as soon as we are unable to forgive. We cannot
die as victorious testimonies with out this peace in our hearts. It is not that we
forget what they have done, for the souls in heaven cry out to God "How long, O
Lord, holy and true, dost thou not judge and avenge our blood on them that dwell
on the earth?"

We see why God has given us the scriptures and the warning that we might
know that these things are coming to pass. We must contemplate with sadness
that these loved ones never were able to be part of the true vine. They have
been deceived and the pressure brings out the other father whom they have
supposed was the voice of God and in this act they have been broken off from
the true church.

The purifying of the true church has always occurred in the midst of tribulation.
Paul wrote from prison in Phil. 1 12 But I would ye should understand, brethren,
that the things [which happened] unto me have fallen out rather unto the
furtherance of the gospel; So that my bonds in Christ are manifest in all the
palace, and in all other [places]; And many of the brethren in the Lord, waxing
confident by my bonds, are much more bold to speak the word without fear …
According to my earnest expectation and [my] hope, that in nothing I shall be
ashamed, but [that] with all boldness, as always, [so] now also Christ shall be
magnified in my body, whether [it be] by life, or by death. For to me to live [is]
Christ, and to die [is] gain. But if I live in the flesh, this [is] the fruit of my labour:
yet what I shall choose I wot not. For I am in a strait betwixt two, having a desire
to depart, and to be with Christ; which is far better: Nevertheless to abide in the
flesh [is] more needful for you.And having this confidence, I know that I shall
abide and continue with you all for your furtherance and joy of faith;… and again
in Col. 1:27 "I may hear of your affairs, that ye stand fast in one spirit, with one
mind striving together for the faith of the gospel; and in nothing terrified by your
adversaries: which is to them an evident token of perdition, but to you of
salvation, and that of God. For unto you it is given in the behalf of Christ, not only
to believe on him, but also to suffer for his sake; having the same conflict which
ye saw in me, and now hear to be in me."

Evangelization by the testimony of the Martyrs

As Christians were thrown to the wild beasts and burned on crosses for miles in
Rome, the power of the Holy Spirit strove mightily with their spiritual light that
was manifested. The martyrs became the seed of the church. Many more were
converted than could be killed. Many hesitant wandering souls come to the light
when it shines in all of it’s brilliance. From the case is given of the first martyr
Stephen. As the Shekinah Glory shown from his face as he cried; Acts 7:54
When they heard these things, they were cut to the heart, and they gnashed on
him with their teeth. But he, being full of the Holy Ghost, looked up stedfastly into
heaven, and saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing on the right hand of God,
and said, Behold, I see the heavens opened, and the Son of man standing on the
right hand of God. Then they cried out with a loud voice, and stopped their ears,
and ran upon him with one accord, and cast him out of the city, and stoned him:
and the witnesses laid down their clothes at a young man’s feet, whose name
was Saul. And they stoned Stephen, calling upon God, and saying, Lord Jesus,
receive my spirit."

Multiply this by the thousands through out the world as men and women are
tortured, burned, beheaded for the gospel and the true eternal purpose of God’s
everlasting kingdom becomes clear and the voice of God is fully surrendered to,
in the hearts of the people and they too come in touch with the Shekinah glory,
just as did Saul who became Paul the apostle.

Revelation 12:12 says, "Therefore rejoice, ye heavens, and ye that dwell in them.
Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto
you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time." We
are told that this only makes Satan and his people more furious. Efforts are
redoubled to intimidate the whole world. More terrible scene’s of public
executions are thought up than ever in the history of the world.

Chapter 7

Great work of evangelization The testimony

of the death of Christians shall bring many into the kingdom.

The observing multitudes will profoundly lament the beautiful 16 year old boys
and girls being torn asunder in terrible executions.

They lose all with the Shekinah glory in their praise. The unknowing world
laments the great loss this means to each one who has never lived to have a
family and mature and die a natural death. But what they do not realize that there
only remained just 5 years until they would be destroyed for eternity with all who
take the mark of the beast at the coming of Christ. For they had to take the mark
and worship the beast to escape martyrdom. After the coming of Jesus these will
reign with him forever. What a tremendous regret for all eternity for those who
have come up to this moment and have recanted and taken the mark. Over and
over in the lake of fire they will relive these moments forever.
Remember this persecution comes directly from Satan. It is necessary that every
effort is made to separate men into his hand. If he can just get them to take the
mark of the beast they have no chance for salvation.

Public executions by the most horrible means are necessary to frighten all men
to stay far away from the message, and not draw near to the anyone who might
bring them to a conscience that would not allow them to worship the beast.

put him in prison in the house of Jonathan the scribe: for they had made that the
prison.

Jer 37:18 Moreover Jeremiah said unto king Zedekiah, What have I offended
against thee, or against thy servants, or against this people, that ye have put me
in prison?

Jer 37:21 Then Zedekiah the king commanded that they should commit Jeremiah
into the court of the prison, and that they should give him daily a piece of bread
out of the bakers’ street, until all the bread in the city were spent. Thus Jeremiah
remained in the court of the prison.

Jer 38:6 Then took they Jeremiah, and cast him into the dungeon of Malchiah the
son of Hammelech, that [was] in the court of the prison: and they let down
Jeremiah with cords. And in the dungeon [there was] no water, but mire: so
Jeremiah sunk in the mire.
Jer 39:14 Even they sent, and took Jeremiah out of the court of the prison, and
committed him unto Gedaliah the son of Ahikam the son of Shaphan, that he
should carry him home: so he dwelt among the people.

Jer 39:15 Now the word of the LORD came unto Jeremiah, while he was shut up
in the court of the prison, saying,

Mt. 25:36 Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in
prison, and ye came unto me.

Mr 6:17 For Herod himself had sent forth and laid hold upon John, and bound
him in prison for Herodias’ sake, his brother Philip’s wife: for he had married her.

Mr 6:27 And immediately the king sent an executioner, and commanded his head
to be brought: and he went and beheaded him in the prison,

Lu 12:58 When thou goest with thine adversary to the magistrate, [as thou art] in
the way, give diligence that thou mayest be delivered from him; lest he hale thee
to the judge, and the judge deliver thee to the officer, and the officer cast thee
into prison.

Lu 21:12 But before all these, they shall lay their hands on you, and persecute
[you], delivering [you] up to the synagogues, and into prisons, being brought
before kings and rulers for my name’s sake.

Lu 22:33 And he said unto him, Lord, I am ready to go with thee, both into prison,
and to death.

Ac 5:18 And laid their hands on the apostles, and put them in the common
prison.

Ac 5:19 But the angel of the Lord by night opened the prison doors, and brought
them forth, and said,

Ac 16:23 And when they had laid many stripes upon them, they cast [them] into
prison, charging the jailor to keep them safely:

Ac 16:24 Who, having received such a charge, thrust them into the inner prison,
and made their feet fast in the stocks.

Ac 16:25 And at midnight Paul and Silas prayed, and sang praises unto God: and
the prisoners heard them.

Ac 16:26 And suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of
the prison were shaken: and immediately all the doors were opened, and every
one’s bands were loosed.
Ac 16:27 And the keeper of the prison awaking out of his sleep, and seeing the
prison doors open, he drew out his sword, and would have killed himself,
supposing that the prisoners had been fled.

Re 2:10 Fear none of those things which thou shalt suffer: behold, the devil shall
cast [some] of you into prison, that ye may be tried; and ye shall have tribulation
ten days: be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life.

Re 20:7 And when the thousand years are expired, Satan shall be loosed out of
his prison,

How to be sure that one is in the time of the Great Tribulation

1 And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince which standeth for the
children of thy people: and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was
since there was a nation [even] to that same time: and at that time thy people
shall be delivered, every one that shall be found written in the book.

Jacob’s trouble Time of sorrows

Jer 30:7 Alas! for that day [is] great, so that none [is] like it: it [is] even the time of
Jacob’s trouble; but he shall be saved out of it.

The marking of the Saints

2 And I saw another angel ascending from the east, having the seal of the living
God: and he cried with a loud voice to the four angels, to whom it was given to
hurt the earth and the sea,

3 Saying, Hurt not the earth, neither the sea, nor the trees, till we have sealed the
servants of our God in their foreheads.

32 And what shall I more say? for the time would fail me to tell of Gedeon, and
[of] Barak, and [of] Samson, and [of] Jephthae; [of] David also, and Samuel, and
[of] the prophets:

33 Who through faith subdued kingdoms, wrought righteousness, obtained

promises, stopped the mouths of lions,
34 Quenched the violence of fire, escaped the edge of the sword, out of
weakness were made strong, waxed valiant in fight, turned to flight the armies of
the aliens.

35 Women received their dead raised to life again: and others were tortured, not
accepting deliverance; that they might obtain a better resurrection:

36 And others had trial of [cruel] mockings and scourgings, yea, moreover of
bonds and imprisonment:

37 They were stoned, they were sawn asunder, were tempted, were slain with
the sword: they wandered about in sheepskins and goatskins; being destitute,
afflicted, tormented;

38 (Of whom the world was not worthy:) they wandered in deserts, and [in]
mountains, and [in] dens and caves of the earth.

39 And these all, having obtained a good report through faith, received not the
promise:

40 God having provided some better thing for us, that they without us should not
be made perfect.

Capter 7

Possible ways to survive economically

There are always a certain percentage of the people who will live in the
underground economy. That which pays no taxes and makes no reports to the
government. It is said that in Italy at this time there is about 40% of the economy
under ground.

Take a closer look at street people, they live for years. When I have preached in
a rescue mission I had fellowship with them and listened very carefully. Some
alcoholics have been more than 15 years on skid row. This means that if they
receive five dollars or fifty dollars they do not buy food but wine with the money.
How can it be that they have survived so long? Just as God watches over the
birds, more so He watches over men and women, even though they are so
irresponsible. How much more will He watch over us who are His Triumphant
Champions in the tribulation?

There is a whole other class that make a good living by doing lawns and
gardens, delivering newspapers, collecting for recycling. Buying eggs and
delivering them door to door. Selling used tires. Working as domestics. Preparing
food in their homes and selling it. Doing mechanics, home repairs, patching
roofs. Selling fire wood.

Remember that in this government there will be little time to refine their total
control that they so desire. They will be concentrating on finding the ones who
will not bow in worship as their great priority. These they feel are dangerous
stubborn people. Many lists will be prepared before hand. The Holy Office in the
Vatican has been gathering the names of all known religious people
systematically for centuries, now much more so with computers. Mailing lists of
contributors, list of ministers who receive some discounts in airlines etc.
Evangelical health insurance plans etc. If you are interested in this book you are
already noted by someone as prospectively dangerous to the system. Apart from
this, membership lists will be found by raiding all organizations and confiscating
all of their records.

Many will be trying to gain favor by reporting people who seem reluctant to
worship or respect the government. The Christian dissenters will be so despised
that no qualms of conscience will be connected to turning in any enemy of the
new glorious system. "…ye shall be hated of all nations for my name’s sake."

Just as in the days of Hitler the greeting on the street was not good morning, it
was Hiel Hitler. Those who did not respond with the same adulating phrase were
very noticeable. This will no doubt come about again with the name of the
Antichrist. How can we respond as Christians yet not to do so will very soon put
us on the list of the stubborn rebels who must be brought in to the Police.

This all will make it necessary to flee from where you are known. No bank
account, No credit, No certain dwelling place No car registered in you name. You
will live with a warrant out for your arrest.

The first thought is to flee to the remote areas. This could be a mistake. It was
my experience working for some years about five hours from the highways in
remote villages in northern México in just a day or two everyone for miles around
knew of us and our whereabouts. In remote areas they have energy and curiosity
to spare with which to notice all strangers. In the heart of the great population
centers is where the multitudinous of activities are impossible to see and
understand. Families can live in the same apartment building and not know each
other more than by face. Even in the dead of winter, one can sleep in an old car
with just a candle in a can and a window cracked.

Chapter 8

Standing alone
There are those who will mislead you who are dedicated to God into subtle
dependence forming you among their followers. They imply a great untruth. That
you may stand together in the tribulation. Nothing could be farther from the truth.
Take note that this book as well as all true ministers will do everything within their
power to make every person mature to stand directly before God. Sad will be the
moment when the leaders of some of these groups that are to protect you as a
group from the tribulation will not stand at all but be humiliated in their faith and
testimony. Why can this be stated. Because it is from a selfish motive that they
would try to create dependence on themselves. This motive will be the weakness
that will bring the terrible humiliation.

Torture and Tactics of the persecutors

As soon as two or more are captured when they are placed in prison they will be
sent to separate cell groups. The first business is to break you down that you will
turn in others. If three bank robbers are captured do they put them all in the same
cell? Make no mistake about the devilish enthusiasm and glee that these officials
with the mark of the beast will have for finding and breaking down each
worshiper of the true God. It will take great discernment to believe that anyone
there with you is a true Christian. For impostors will be placed in the same jail cell
to gain your confidence and destroy you. You will not be clearly charged. They
will ask you why you think you are there.

I include in the following several episodes from Fox's Book of Martyrs.

Another hardship was, that, when any Christians were brought before the
magistrates, a test oath was proposed, when, if they refused to take it, death was
pronounced against them; and if they confessed themselves Christians, the
sentence was the same. In this persecution suffered the blessed martyr, Ignatius,
who is held in famous reverence among very many. This Ignatius was appointed
to the bishopric of Antioch next after Peter in succession. Some do say, that he,
being sent from Syria to Rome, because he professed Christ, was given to the
wild beasts to be devoured. It is also said of him, that when he passed through
Asia, being under the most strict custody of his keepers, he strengthened and
confirmed the churches through all the cities as he went, both with his
exhortations and preaching of the Word of God. Accordingly, having come to
Smyrna, he wrote to the Church at Rome, exhorting them not to use means for
his deliverance from martyrdom, lest they should deprive him of that which he
most longed and hoped for. "Now I begin to be a disciple. I care for nothing, of
visible or invisible things, so that I may but win Christ. Let fire and the cross, let
the companies of wild beasts, let breaking of bones and tearing of limbs, let the
grinding of the whole body, and all the malice of the devil, come upon me; be it
so, only may I win Christ Jesus!" And even when he was sentenced to be thrown
to the beasts, such as the burning desire that he had to suffer, that he spake,
what time he heard the lions roaring, saying: "I am the wheat of Christ: I am
going to be ground with the teeth of wild beasts, that I may be found pure bread."

This is the consecration that every true Christian

must have now as well as then.

Our Lord stated it in Math. 10:39 "He that findeth his life shall lose it: and he that
loseth his life for my sake shall find it." The only way, once detained is to boldly
take a stand as did our brother Ignatius. It is going to please the Lord to permit
thousands of Christians to be killed. Why try to live three or four years more until
the end of the tribulation? We must be utterly willing to die for Him. For some it
will be His will that they do not. Let our Lord Jesus himself decide. We must not
vacillate in our testimony now or then. We must give evidence of the fullness of
Christ in our hearts. We give a clear testimony without vacillation of any kind. It is
here that the joy unspeakable of the Shekinah glory enters our hearts with just
this consecration that was first manifested on the face of Stephen. The heavens
will open to us. It is God's will to offer us to be chopped up for his glory to fill the
cup of iniquity to overflowing for Him to be able to thrust in the sickle and tread
the winepress of wrath. Rev.14:17 "And another angel came out of the temple
which is in heaven, he also having a sharp sickle. And another angel came out
from the altar, which had power over fire; and cried with a loud cry to him that
had the sharp sickle, saying, Thrust in thy sharp sickle, and gather the clusters of
the vine of the earth; for her grapes are fully ripe. And the angel thrust in his
sickle into the earth, and gathered the vine of the earth, and cast [it] into the great
winepress of the wrath of God. And the winepress was trodden without the city,
and blood came out of the winepress, even unto the horse bridles, by the space
of a thousand [and] six hundred furlongs."

In another case: Felicitatis, an illustrious Roman lady, of a considerable family,

and the most shining virtues, was a devout Christian. She had seven sons, whom
she had educated with the most exemplary piety. Januarius, the eldest, was
scourged, and pressed to death with weights; Felix and Philip, the two next had
their brains dashed out with clubs; Silvanus, the fourth, was murdered by being
thrown from a precipice; and the three younger sons, Alexander, Vitalis, and
Martial, were beheaded. The mother was beheaded with the same sword as the
three latter.

Breathing forth peace and joy and triumph

But despite the awful story of persecution that we may read here, the inscriptions
breathe forth peace and joy and triumph. Here are a few:
"Here lies Marcia, put to rest in a dream of peace."

"Lawrence to his sweetest son, borne away of angels."

"Victorious in peace and in Christ."

"Being called away, he went in peace."

Remember when reading these inscriptions the story the skeletons tell of
persecution, of torture, and of fire.

But the full force of these epitaphs is seen when we contrast them with the pagan
epitaphs, such as:

"Live for the present hour, since we are sure of nothing else."

"I lift my hands against the gods who took me away at the age of twenty though I
had done no harm."

"Once I was not. Now I am not. I know nothing about it, and it is no concern of
mine."

"Traveler, curse me not as you pass, for I am in darkness and cannot answer."

The most frequent Christian symbols on the walls of the catacombs, are, the
good shepherd with the lamb on his shoulder, a ship under full sail, harps,
anchors, crowns, vines, and above all the fish.

The venerable Bede assures us, that, upon this occasion, the executioner
suddenly became a convert to Christianity, and entreated permission to die for
Alban, or with him. Obtaining the latter request, they were beheaded by a soldier,
who voluntarily undertook the task of executioner. This happened on the twenty-
second of June, A.D. 287

Julian determined to examine Basil himself, when that holy man being brought
before him, the emperor did every thing in his power to dissuade him from
persevering in the faith. Basil not only continued as firm as ever, but, with a
prophetic spirit foretold the death of the emperor, and that he should be
tormented in the other life. Enraged at what he heard, Julian commanded that the
body of Basil should be torn every day in seven different parts, until his skin and
flesh were entirely mangled. This inhuman sentence was executed with rigor,
and the martyr expired under its severities, on June 28, A.D. 362.

Chapter 9
Giving help to those loved ones in prison?

The power of the inquisitors was unlimited; they proceeded against whom
they pleased, without any consideration of age, sex, or rank. Let the
accusers be ever so infamous, the accusation was deemed valid; and even
anonymous informations, sent by letter, were thought sufficient evidence. To be
rich was a crime equal to heresy; therefore many who had money were accused
of heresy, or of being favorers of heretics, that they might be obliged to pay for
their opinions. The dearest friends or nearest kindred could not, without danger,
serve any one who was imprisoned on account of religion. To convey to those
who were confined, a little straw, or give them a cup of water, was called favoring
of the heretics, and they were prosecuted accordingly. No lawyer dared to plead
for his own brother, and their malice even extended beyond the grave; hence the
bones of many were dug up and burnt, as examples to the living. If a man on his
deathbed was accused of being a follower of Waldo, his estates were
confiscated, and the heir to them defrauded of his inheritance; and some were
sent to the Holy

Land, while the Dominicans took possession of their houses and properties, and,
when the owners returned, would often pretend not to know them. These
persecutions were continued for several centuries under different popes and
other great dignitaries of the Catholic Church.

"Tavannes, marshal of France, an ignorant, superstitious soldier, who joined the

fury of religion to the rage of party, rode on horseback through the streets of
Paris, crying to his men, ‘Let blood! let blood! bleeding is as wholesome in
August as in May.’ In the memories of the life of this enthusiastic, written by his
son, we are told that the father, being on his deathbed, and making a general
confession of his actions, the priest said to him, with surprise, ‘What! no mention
of St. Bartholomew’s massacre?’ to which Tavannes replied, ‘I consider it as a
meritorious action, that will wash away all my sins.’ Such horrid sentiments can a
false spirit of religion inspire!

The tragical sufferings of the Protestants are too numerous to detail; but the
treatment of Philip de Deux will give an idea of the rest. After the miscreants had
slain this martyr in his bed, they went to his wife, who was then attended by the
midwife, expecting every moment to be delivered. The midwife entreated them to
stay the murder, at least till the child, which was the twentieth, should be born.
Notwithstanding this, they thrust a dagger up to the hilt

into the poor woman. Anxious to be delivered, she ran into a corn loft; but hither
they pursued her, stabbed her in the belly, and then threw her into the street. By
the fall, the child came from the dying mother, and being caught up by one of the
Catholic ruffians, he stabbed the infant, and then threw it into the river.
Chapter 10

Forcing one to sign a denial of our Faith in Jesus

They hanged both men and women by their hair or their feet, and smoked them
with hay until they were nearly dead; and if they still refused to sign a recantation,
they hung them up again and repeated their barbarities, until, wearied out with
torments without death, they forced many to yield to them.

Others, they plucked off all the hair of their heads and beards with pincers.
Others they threw on great fires, and pulled them out again, repeating it until they
extorted a promise to recant.

Some they stripped naked, and after offering them the most infamous insults,
they stuck them with pins from head to foot, and lanced them with penknives;
and sometimes with red-hot pincers they dragged them by the nose until they
promised to turn. Sometimes they tied fathers and husbands, while they ravished
their wives and daughters before their eyes. Multitudes they imprisoned in the
most noisome dungeons, where they practised all sorts of torments in secret.
Their wives and children they shut up in monasteries.

Chapter 11

Being hunted as a wild animal

Such as endeavored to escape by flight were pursued in the woods, and hunted
in the fields, and shot at like wild beasts; nor did any condition or quality screen
them from the ferocity of these infernal dragoons: even the members of
parliament and military officers, though on actual service, were ordered to quit
their posts, and repair directly to their houses to suffer the like storm. Such as
complained to the king were sent to the Bastile, where they drank the same cup.
The bishops and the intendants marched at the head of the dragoons, with a
troop of missionaries, monks, and other ecclesiastics to animate the soldiers to
an execution so agreeable to their Holy Church, and so glorious to their demon
god and their tyrant king.

In forming the edict to repeal the edict of Nantes, the council were divided; some
would have all the ministers detained and forced into popery as well as the laity;
others were for banishing them, because their presence would strengthen the
Protestants in perseverance: and if they were forced to turn, they would ever be
secret and powerful enemies in the bosom of the Church, by their great
knowledge and experience in controversial matters. This reason prevailing, they
were sentenced to banishment, and only fifteen days allowed them to depart the
kingdom. On the same day that the edict for revoking the Protestants’ charter
was published, they demolished their churches and banished their ministers,
whom they allowed but twenty-four hours to leave Paris. The papists would not
suffer them to dispose of their effects, and threw every obstacle in their way to
delay their escape until the limited time was expired which subjected them to
condemnation for life to the galleys. The guards were doubled at the seaports,

and the prisons were filled with the victims, who endured torments and wants at
which human nature must shudder. A defence in the Inquisition is of little use to
the prisoner, for a suspicion only is deemed sufficient cause of condemnation,
and the greater his wealth the greater his danger. The principal part of the
inquisitors’ cruelties is owing to their rapacity: they destroy the life to possess the
property; and, under the pretence of zeal, plunder each obnoxious individual.

A prisoner in the Inquisition is never allowed to see the face of his accuser, or of
the witnesses against him, but every method is taken by threats and tortures, to
oblige him to accuse himself, and by that means corroborate their evidence. If
the jurisdiction of the Inquisition is not fully allowed, vengeance is denounced
against such as call it in question for if any of its officers are opposed, those who
oppose them are almost certain to be sufferers for the temerity; the maxim of the
Inquisition being to strike terror, and awe those who are the objects of its power
into
