Dear friends,Just wanted to give you an update on what is happening here in Ukraine. We are excited abouthow God is working and opening the doors for us to walk through. It is not exactly what we hadplanned before coming to Ukraine, but that is the exciting part about serving God. First off Iwant to say thank you for all who have been praying for us. We really can feel your prayers. Ifeel that God is working in my own life as well as the lives of others that we are working with. For instance, as you know I am not a trained preacher, but over here it seems to be a need forme to be. I have been preaching on Sundays here in Osikova and the Lord has been helpingme. Half of the time I think God gives the message to me for me. God is so good and patient tome.I must tell you some exciting news. This last Sunday I was asked to preach at a small housechurch in a village about 40 kilometers (25miles) from here. So I went with Roman (pastor fromKenyazache) so he could be mytranslator. It was a small house church, but there were three old grandmas thatwere from Chernobyl. That defiantlysparked my interest. I first startedgiving out Bibles in the Chernobyl area in1999.
I hadn’t given these ladies Bibles,
but they were so happy to find out that Ihad taken Bibles to their area. Theycried and thanked me for going upthere. It was a great encouragement tome to meet them and to listen to thempray. God was really close in that littlehouse church.Let me tell you some other exciting news, the short version. I met some people down in NovaOdessa that has been praying for someone to go to Siberia. They want someone to take theGospel and Bibles to some of their friends and relatives up there. I said that we would prayabout it. God has been opening the doors for me to go to Siberia on a Bible trip. As I waslooking into the possibilities for this trip, I had a dream that I should be ready to preachwhenever asked. A few days later while talking to my contacts in Siberia, they asked if I couldpreach in different villages up there.
I said with the Lord’s help I would do my best.
I wouldreally appreciate your prayers on this trip.If all goes as planned it will be the longest and most extensive Bible trip I have ever done. Lordwilling I plan to leave Kiev on February 27
th
and return on March 21
