TIDAL BAY now looks all set to come here as HowardJohnson ruled him out o the Gold Cup ater his non-staying third in the ground at the Cotswold Chase. Although he has run respectably on his last three starts(all deeats), he has not or me been on song and his jumping at times let a lot to be desired at Cheltenham.I also believe he has something going on in his headand, although he is impressive when winning by longdistances, I don’t think he can win this in a canter. Hewill have to ght i he is to win and I know who I wouldwant on my side i he and VOY POR USTEDES came tothe last together.THYNE AGAIN has options and this would appear tobe the best o them, but I was again disappointed withhis nish in the Normans Grove Chase when beaten byMANSONY (who misses Festival altogether according to Arthur Moore) and I simply don’t believe he is a Grade1 horse.

 As most o us expected, INGLIS DREVER was nally retired and another we can eectively put a line throughater yet another disappointing run last week was last season’s third, KAZAL.We needed a shake-up in this market and got it when BIG BUCK’S looked all class when deeatingPUNCHESTOWNS in the Cleeve Hurdle. Supporters o Punchestowns will reer to three actors why he cangain his revenge: he won’t be giving 8 lbs away like he was in the Cleeve; the ground is unlikely to be as sotat the Festival; and Henderson stated ater the race he had let something to work on. Punchestowns wascertainly going best between the last two fights and may just have blown up on that ground while givingweight.Big Buck’s is a horse that it is hard to get a true handle on as he is delivered late and we really don’t know howmuch he has in hand. He went on to win by 4 lengths and I think he would have beaten Punchestowns at levelsin the Cleeve. I he gets sot ground at the Festival, I would be condent he can conrm those placings.On Good ground I am 50-50, which would then bring in KASBAH BLISS, who a line can be put through i itcomes up testing.Saturday’s race has breathed new lie into this race and it is now arguably the most ascinating race at theFestival. Unless it is sot and Kasbah Bliss bombs out, I can’t see an each-way angle into this race as believe
