One of Croatia’s
nest national and cultural institutionsis LADO, the ensemble for folk dances and songs oCroatia and some would say our cultural ambassadorsto the world.In its 60 years, LADO has gathered the most famousCroatian choreographers, ethno-musicologists,folklorists and composers who have spent endlesshours in choreographing some of the mostmagnificent dances and songs of our land. Today, LADO has 37 outstanding dancers who are atthe same time excellent singers and they can easilytransform from a dance ensemble into a folk choir, whilst there are also 15 excellent musicians thatplay 50 traditional and classical instruments. as well as visitingother coastal destinations. They travel to the

 and will then carry out some traditional concerts back home before they begin to prepare for their traditional
 Christmas concerts in Zagreb
. According to the critics, LADO is one of the bestfolklore ensembles in the world and have in 60 yearsgraced 6 world continents and dazzled audiencesthroughout. In their jubilee year, we invite you to witness the pinnacle of our musical tradition and inall its glory.

 Their artworks were an introduction to an entirely new, unstoppable avalanche of events which not only changedpeople, but their souls and spirituality. 120 masterpieces from the legendary groups ‘The Bridge’ and ‘The BlueRider’ will be presented. Visitors will be able to enjoy the master pieces of Kandinski, Franz Marc, AugustMacke, Paul Klee, Aleksey Jawlenski, Ernest Ludvig Kirchner and many others who were so ahead of their time.

– A retrospective exhibitionmarking the 100
th
anniversary since the painter’s death
Considered as one of Croatia’s elite in modern
ne arts, this memorial exhibit presents over 100 oils on canvas,as well as aquarelles and drawings. The exhibition gives the broadest and yet deepest insight into the artist’srelatively small opus which ended mysteriously at the tender age of 24.
