contaminated the river with a wide variety of toxicsubstances including polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs), chlorinated solvents, radioactivesubstances and metals.
The site posed a potential health risk to individuals who wouldaccidentally ingest or come into direct contact with contaminated soils, sediments, andsurface water from Fields Brook.
Ingesting contaminated fish also COULD cause adversehealth effects.
