Projectile Motion:
Any body given an initial velocity moves freely in space under the influence of gravity iscalled a Projectile. The path followed by a Projectile is called its trajectory. Trajectory of aProjectile is a Parabola.
Time of flight:
Time taken by the body to achieve highest point and then returningto the ground is called the time of flight. Since the body returns to the ground, thedistance traveled along Y-axis will be zero.

Horizontal range = R:
The maximum distance traveled by the body on ground iscalled its horizontal range.
