Dear Producer We are a film production company with a first look distribution deal with a major international distributor. We are looking for new first film projects from innovative and committed film producers like you. We are aware of the need to appeal directly to a defined target audience and therefore we are only interested in films projects which demonstrate clearly that they know their audience well and have researched who would pay the ticket price. We are flexible about the genre of the films we want to produce and release though there are four genres which particularly appeal: horror, comedy horror, urban thriller and dance drama, all of which we know have a strong appeal with the teenage target audience. We are therefore inviting proposals from producers who have a clear plan for their film and how it might be promoted to the target audience in the form of a trailer and also particularly how we might use web based technologies to help generate interest. It is vital to us that the film productions can demonstrate excellent understanding of the conventions of film trailers in the genre chosen. Successful submissions will be well written, clearly expressed and inspire confidence through the detail in the proposal and through the clear knowledge and understanding of genre, audience and representation as relevant to the project.
