As each of us gather around our
we sing songs, sometimes playgames, exchange gifts, eat great foods, and just admire the beautiful lightof the burning candles. The past three years I have received great feedback from those who have
participated in the this wonderful project called “
Bring Light to the Night.
The idea of the project is to add a
family learning component
to ourcelebration of this holiday. The Torah is compared to light and so when welearn over Channuka we literally bring more light to the night. In order tofacilitate that, I have compiled a learning project for us to study together asa shul over the course of Channuka while spending time with friendsor family.
This year, let’s once again add this important dimension of meaning to the
experience of lighting
candles by participating in this project.
Feel free to contact me with questions or insights generated through your learning.I Look forward to your participation!!
