This sixth and last volume on physics presents, in contrast to the preceding five volumes, a speculative topic: it presents a way to unify quantum theory, the standard model of particle physics, and general relativity. Like the other volumes, also this volume is written for undergraduates and curious people.
The strand model explains the origin of the gauge interactions, explains the structure and the number of elementary particles and the structure of space. Many experimental predictions on particle physics and cosmology are deduced, including the absence of supersymmetry.
This is the 6th and last volume of the free Motion Mountain Physics Textbook, which covers all of modern physics, from the origin of colours to the working of muscles, from the motion of plants and animals to the motion of the stars.
