I, Andrew P Zaloumis, in my capacity as Chief Executive Officer of the iSimangaliso WetlandPark Authority and duly authorised in terms of section 13 of the World Heritage ConventionAct, 1999 (Act No. 49 of 1999) and in terms of Regulation 23 (2) of the Regulationspublished in terms of the National Environmental Management: Protected Areas Act, 2003(Act No. 57 of 2003) published in

EXCLUSION AREA FOR OFFSHORE SCUBA DIVING, SWIMMING ANDFISHING
1.1
Purpose of this Protected Area Notice
The Protected Area Notice issued concerns the prohibition of all offshorediving, swimming and fishing in or about the artificial reefs at Cape Vidalnamely the DAR 1 and DAR 2 which are situated at:
LOCATION
:DAR 1:- Latitude (28º09.733’S) & Longitude (32º33.655E)DAR 2:- Latitude (28º09.771’S) & Longitude (32º34.042’E)
WATER DEPTH:
37m and 25 m respectively1.2
Exclusion
This Protected Area Notice does not-
(a)
replace or limit any existing Protected Area Notice;
(b)
apply to shore based angling and swimming.
(c)
affect iSimangaliso Authority employees and its agent Ezemvelo KZNWildlife employees acting in the course and scope of their
